We see an Africa that is thriving, prosperous and sustainable.

Bullet holes were fast becoming the new décor on buildings; the nightmare was like a wind wherefore no one could say where it was coming from or where it headed. The sociopolitical unrest in the English speaking Regions in Cameroon became unbearable like a prolonged labor pain. While tongues were wiggling and the media booming, it was a sad reality for those who had nowhere to run to. Homes set ablaze, schools deserted and becoming homes for dangerous reptiles.
· Dysfunctional family conditions
· High rate of teenage pregnancy
· Increased crime rate
· Alarming substance misuse
· Adult illiteracy
· Limited economic opportunities
Hoisted their flags like colonial masters in these communities.

The ears of the denizens had become acquainted to gunshots, which they referred to as popcorn. Everyone who was still in “Ground Zero” had one assignment: “TO STAY ALIVE”, unfortunately as it is with every assignment not everyone gets it right at the end. Needless to say countless have fallen as a result of this course, some of which were kids who were happily heading to school, others met their waterloo within the four walls of the classrooms which once promised hopes for a bright future. It has not been easy for the living than the dead, whom in many ways fruits of the prolonged crisis has tried to reap off hope from them.

While others are in School enjoying the ambiance that comes with “rentree scholaire”, kids in crisis-hit communities are laying low on the floors of what is left of their homes in a bid to dodge from stray bullets.
> Wars do not favour kids
> Wars cannot bring peace
> Wars kill
> Wars destroy
The communities destroyed today would need to be rebuilt by capable transformation agents. These we cannot achieve in an environment where education cannot be safeguarded.

The world does not come to a standstill because a Region is in conflict. If the future of the entire generations of children cannot be guaranteed, these zones risk rolling back to the period of colonialization.

Rather than a gun, give a child an education. The resources to rebuild our communities are locked up in our youths.

Royalty World in commemoration of the International Day to Protect Education from Attack celebrates all her scholars who despite being through turmoil as a result of the crisis in the English Speaking Regions in Cameroon have decided to cling to education as the way forward, while going a step further to rejuvenate hope in the hearts of others in their community.

We see an Africa which is Thriving, Prosperous and Sustainable.

Rinoo Cameroon and Partners are Joining the Campaign to End Gender Based Violence by Engaging in a Series of Activities and Outreaches to Psychologically Fortify Women.

This year, under the theme Orange the World, End Violence Against Women, Rinoo Cameroon will for 16 days focus on ending psychological violence women/girls face during their menstrual periods.

It is our conviction that ending period poverty by providing women with the right knowledge as well as free access to menstrual pads will go a long way to restore and/or preserve their dignity, thereby saving them from pshychological torture.

In our community outreach programs, many girls attest to the fact that they occasionally are "forced" into transactional s*x in order to get money to buy pads.
School girls who can't afford regular pads most often skip school during their me**es for fear of staining their uniforms and be exposed to ridicule from schoolmates and the public.

To end this psychological violence against girls and women, Rinoo Cameroon is launching a 6 months campaign from December 2021 to May 2022, to provide 10,000 girls with 60,000 Papilio washable pads, menstrual bracelets, and the book, My First Period to permit them have their periods with dignity.

Join us in this movement to transform menstruation from a thing of shame to an occasion to celebrate life.

Orange The World, support the elimination of violence against women.

On February 7, 2000 The United Nations (UN) officially designated November 25 as the "International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women".

This year, Rinoo Cameroon and her partners will be commemorating it through 16 days of activism starting today and ending on December 10, "International Human Rights Day".

Our focus will be on ending the psychological violence young girls and women go through in the course of managing their monthly menstrual cycles. According to WoMena, a non-governmental organisation consisting of Public Health, Anthropology, Development and Sociology professionals who are passionate about addressing social issues in Africa related to gender, reproductive health and menstrual hygiene, “There is a growing understanding that gender-based violence (GBV) has many dimensions, both physical and psychological. It additionally includes both a deliberate deprival of dignity and access to basic services. This also applies to menstrual health management (MHM)”

During this 16 days, we will be engaging stakeholders to take actions and creating awareness on these issues online, in schools and conferences. We will also be showcasing our approach to ending violence against women.

This approach is quite simple- make it easy for women to manage menstruation by providing them with sustainable menstrual hygiene kits and female friendly structures and facilities.

Join use to orange the world by supporting the free distribution of washable menstrual pads to vulnerable girls and women in Cameroon.

From December 2021 to May 2022, we are reaching out to 10.000 girls with 60.000 washable pads.
Each girl will receive a Menstrual kit that will include 6 washable pads, menstrual bracelets and the book, my First Period to permit them have their periods with dignity.

Eva's Cry (Part 6)

I got up the next morning feeling really feverish and weak, maybe I was just disturbed because of the way I left my first love the previous night so I called him to apologize. After apologizing, he said he understands but still insisted on me sleeping with his friends promising to give me 500,000 FRS after the act.
I thought to myself that since nothing extraordinary happened to me the previous time, it would be nothing if I did it again, moreover for such a huge amount of money.
We all met later that evening at our usual hotel room and I buried my conscience and did it for the money. After the act, I was waiting for my money as promised when Ben said the most horrible words I have ever heard, he said “you didn’t perform well in bed today, perhaps you have faded and you don’t look appetising anymore, the earlier you go to the hospital, the better for your source of income. By the way, my friends and I didn’t enjoy it so we won’t pay you.
Since I di sorry you, just take this 10,000 FRS for your transport because this would be the last time we meet. I’ll be travelling back to the US to meet my wife and children cause I’m done in Cameroon, I was here in the country just for vacation". After hearing these words it felt like I was dreaming…

Eva's Cry( Part 5)
The next time we went out, Ben asked me to sleep with him and his friends at the same time. How on earth could I sleep with four men at once. While I was still thinking about it, he said it wouldn’t be the first time meaning this is what had happened the previous time and I didn’t care to ask. I refused to do it and left out of anger and I got home at about midnight and met my crippled sister waiting restlessly for me. I hadn’t been home now in a week and she was so worried. I was tired of hearing her disturb me with the church mentality of fornication is a sin. Where was God when I needed just one pad? Before she could start preaching again I was already on the bed snoring...

EVA's CRY(Part4)😢😢
One night after leaving the club at about 2am, I, him and three of his male friends headed to the hotel room he had earlier booked. I really couldn’t tell what was happening because I was drunk and sleepy. I only got up the next morning to notice we were all naked. Oh my Go!!! Could it be that these four men had s*x with me last night? I thought to myself. Before I could gather the courage to ask what happened, each the four guys gave me 50,000 FRS wow!!! I was so excited and I really didn’t care about what happened anymore. I foolishly took all the money for shopping besides I now had a constant source of income through Ben and his friends…

EVA's CRY (Part 3)😢😢
One day during my routine outings at the bar to look for customers, I met the most handsome and gentlemanly person I had ever come across. As he walked up to me, my mouth was literally open. It was love at first sight and he introduced himself as Ben.
He was my customer for the night and he paid 100,000frs several times more than anybody had ever paid me. We later exchanged contacts as he said he liked me and not just the s*x. To me I had met my Mr right so we continued meeting every other day at different bars and hotels.
As time went on he started demanding for a**l s*x but I couldn’t say no because I loved him and besides, he gave me everything I needed before I even thought of asking.
He was the drinking and clubbing kind of guy so he had several crazy friends but I really didn’t care because I was crazy too…

EVA's CRY (continuation)😢😢

I later started enjoying the s*x and by the time I was 18 I had committed 5 abortions. I couldn't stop because by this time I was enjoying the s*x so I would even sleep with other men for money and soon people started referring to me as a pr******te.
I used to leave the house around 4PM and sit in bars to come accross potential rich men ready to buy me beer, food, snacks, then sleep with me and pay me.
Some men used to give me 5000frs, 10000frs, 15000frs and even 20000 francs after we had s*x depending on the period of time spent together. Some gave me 2000frs, 1500frs, and even 1000frs, promising they will send money via my mobile money account bur unfortunately, I never received the money.
This was my everyday routine until I met a man called Mr Ben, who radically changed my life.....

EVA's CRY😢😢

I dropped out of school in form 4 when my parents died and since then it has been my responsibility to take care of my elder sister and I.
One of my neighbors who was very friendly to us while I was in my teens used to assist us from time to time and when I started seeing my period at 15 he was the first person I told.He bought a pad for me but convinced me into sleeping with him before giving me.
My name is Eva, I am 21 years old and I live in mile 16. My parents died in an accident 6 years ago and I live with my elder sister who is physically challenged (crippled).
I was naive and childish so I accepted to sleep with him and it soon became a monthly habit sleeping with him to have money to buy pad. He used to also buy pad for my elder sister so to me he was being kind.
I later started enjoying the s*x and by the time I was 18 I had committed 5 abortions
To be continued....
