DRY SKIN — YOUR SKIN NEEDS COMFORT, NOT MORE PRODUCTS

If your skin feels tight after washing, looks flaky, or feels uncomfortable without moisturizer, you may have dry skin. Start your morning with a gentle, non-foaming cleanser because harsh cleansers can remove too much of the skin’s natural oils. Follow with a hydrating serum containing ingredients like hyaluronic acid or glycerin, then apply a rich moisturizer with ceramides to help support the skin barrier. Finish with SPF 30 or higher, because dry skin can still experience sun damage and dark spots.

At night, keep things simple. Cleanse gently, apply your hydrating serum, and use a nourishing moisturizer. If your skin is particularly dry, you can use a moisturizer containing shea butter, squalane or petrolatum to help reduce water loss while you sleep. The goal isn’t to make your skin feel greasy; it’s to keep moisture in and prevent that uncomfortable tight feeling.

And please don’t scrub dry skin aggressively just because you see flakes. Those flakes are often a sign that your skin barrier needs more care, not more exfoliation. Hydration + barrier support + gentle cleansing should be your priority.

Real skin has pores, small bumps, and texture. That’s completely normal. Many photos online are edited or taken under perfect lighting.

Instead of trying to make your skin look flawless, focus on keeping it healthy, hydrated, and comfortable. Healthy skin is beautiful skin.
