Knowing the type of acne you have helps a lot to find the perfect solution and products you need to treat it. Acnes aren’t the same but majority can hardly differentiate the different types there is.

Here’s a brief breakdown of each;

📌 Non-Inflammatory Acne

1). Whiteheads - Small whitish bumps that appear on the surface of the skin caused when dead skin cells and sebum mixes with closed pores.

2). Blackheads - Small deposits of melanin beneath the skin surface with black tops on the surface of the skin caused when dead skin cells and sebum mixes with clogged pores but the top remains exposed (open).

📌 Inflammatory Acne

1). Papules - Small swollen or raised red/pink bump that appears on the skin.

2). Pustules - Whitish pus-filled blemish with a red colored center.

3). Nodules - Deep harden acne that are often painful and mostly appears many.

4). Cysts - Pus filled acne caused when dead skin cells, bacteria and oil gets trapped in your skin. This type causes scarring and it’s an intense type of acne.
