When business owners say they now prefer creating their own content instead of paying influencers, some people think it’s a joke.

But trust me, it’s very real.

If your goal is just visibility or brand awareness, influencer marketing helps a lot

But if your goal is actual sales and conversion, many business owners will tell you that marketing your products yourself often works better.

One thing social media will teach you is that
views do not always equal sales.

A video can go extremely viral and still bring almost no customers. Tiktok taught me this.

Meanwhile, another video that barely reached people can quietly bring serious sales.

A lot of business owners have noticed this pattern.

Even when they marketed themselves, sometimes the videos that blew up the most were not even the videos that made the most money.

And honestly, customers also connect differently when they hear directly from the business owner.

There is more trust, more authenticity and more connection.

Not to even mention that influencer marketing is expensive, some influencers charge heavily and still fail to deliver properly.

At some point, many business owners realize that
instead of stressing over influencers, it is better to consistently show up and market your own business yourself.

Nobody understands your product, your audience, or your vision better than you do.

Happy National Day 🎇

Happy National Day!

Today, we celebrate our resilience. No matter how bad the road is, we still find a way to get there.

Today, we celebrate our creativity. We have mastered the art of thriving in a system with no formula.

Today, we celebrate our passion. Our love for greatness transformed a small country to a continent.

A lot of people do not realize that the same skin issues you have on your face also exist on your body like blackheads, pimples, dark spots, ingrown hairs, and hyperpigmentation.

I saw a post on Facebook where someone said they do vajacials, which are basically facials for the bikini area.

People thought it was a joke.

The only reason we obsess over our faces is because that is what people see first, that is the most visible part.

So when you have a pimple on your face, it bothers you because everyone can see it.

If you had that same pimple on your back or your elbow, it would not bother you as much because it is not visible.

But trust me, your body has the same problems and sometimes even worse.

Your bikini area can have blackheads, clogged pores, ingrown hairs, and hyperpigmentation.

Your underarms can have dark spots, pimples, and texture issues.

The difference is that because these areas are not visible to you every day, or because they are more private, you ignore them.

They still deserve care.

Yes, it might feel weird at first to let someone treat your bikini area or underarms, but it is the same as letting someone work on your face.

It is skincare, just on a different part of your body.

We emphasize the face because it is the most delicate and the most visible, but that does not mean the rest of your body should be neglected.

If you have been struggling with dark underarms, body acne, ingrown hairs, or hyperpigmentation in intimate areas, professional treatments can help.

What makes me laugh about this post is that people are trying to disagree with Ran while actually proving her point

“Oh, you should have asked me.”
“I have a plug at Obili.”
“You should buy from an anglophone.”
“You need to go to Tsinga village, Rond-point Nlongkak, Maison Blanche.”

Isn't that the connection she's talking about?

If a city is truly known for good roasted fish, you should be able to randomly stop at many spots and still get something decent.

If 20 people are roasting fish on one street and barely 4 are doing it really well, then clearly, there is a problem.

Because ideally, the majority should be good, while only a few are bad or still learning.

So yes, Yaoundé doesn't have nice roasted fish.

Sometimes when I complain about the cold in Yaoundé, I wonder how people in my village are coping.

Because if I'm feeling cold here, then they are definitely freezing over there.

I remember growing up and watching people deal with extremely dry, cracked skin every season.

Most had cracked lips, cracked feet and the worst part, very dry skin with arithmetic lines.

Unfortunately, most people did not know how to properly care for their skin. They would just apply anything they could find and this includes groundnut oil.

I remember I always wondered why their skin looked dry and shiny at the same time.

Now I understand perfectly.
Groundnut oil, minyanga, etc do not contain water so they can't keep skin moisturised.

I know there are still people putting in certain efforts and not understanding why their skin is behaving the way it does.

This is exactly what consultations are for.

I help you understand what is happening with your skin and why, so you can actually take care of it properly no matter the season.

Reach out. Let's figure out what your skin needs right now.
