Q1 Sustainability Footprint
This quarter, our chicken coop welcomed 13 new chicks after around 20 days of natural incubation. At the same time, the first group born last October has now started laying eggs, forming a small ecosystem where chicken manure naturally fertilizes the farm and nourishes crops.
We served 30,939 glass bottles of water to reduce plastic use. 152 “Shan Shan” toys found new homes with our guests, and all profits were donated to Chengdu Caring House Animal Shelter.
We also welcomed local school children to our farm. They learned about soil, compost and the full journey of plant growth from seed to harvest, and planted corn seeds by themselves. During Earth Hour, guests joined workshops using recycled materials to create beeswax wraps for wrapping farm products to take home.

Spring Freshness Flavors
The land around Qingcheng Mountain is rich and generous. Moist air, fertile soil, and a steady rhythm of seasons allow natural ingredients to grow at their own pace. Our chefs cook guided by what the land offers right now. It’s food that feels familiar, warm, and close to home.
At Zi Qi Yuan Chinese Restaurant, the menu follows the balance of the Five Elements from Taoist philosophy. “Marinated Spring Bamboo Shoots with Green Pepper Scallion Sauce” Ingredients from our resort groves are tossed in a house-made sauce with fresh herbs and Sichuan peppercorn. “Wild Bracken Fern Fried with Preserved Pork Belly”Lightly smoky with a natural crunch, it brings out a home-style flavor that feels like made in a gramma’s kitchen.
At The Square, afternoon tea inspired by the panda character Pang Hua. Under the old banyan tree, a mix of sweet and savory bites is made with local sources.
