These 3 mistakes could ruin your entire print run. 🚨

We've seen it happen more times than we can count. A designer submits their card artwork, we go to print — and the result is a disaster. Not because of our machines. Because of the file.

Here are the 3 most common card design mistakes, and exactly how to fix them:

❌ Mistake 1: No bleed Your artwork stops at the card edge — so after cutting, you get a white border that ruins the design. ✅ Fix: Add 3mm bleed beyond your card edge on all sides.

❌ Mistake 2: Low resolution (72 dpi) Looks perfect on screen. Prints blurry and pixelated. ✅ Fix: Always export at 300 dpi minimum.

❌ Mistake 3: Important elements too close to the edge Text, logos, and character faces get cut off during production cutting. ✅ Fix: Keep all key elements 5mm inside the card edge.

💡 The rule: 3mm bleed out + 300 dpi + 5mm safe zone in = a perfect print run, every time.
