🧠 Exciting research in PNAS reveals that cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) may travel along peripheral nerves to organs throughout the body, creating a direct brain-body communication pathway.

These findings align with the principles of CranioSacral Therapy and Neural Manipulation, which focus on supporting CSF flow and nerve function to promote health and balance throughout the body.

Manual theapist

Manual therapy for the TMJ is a non-surgical ‼️ treatment where a trained physiotherapist or other qualified therapist uses hands-on techniques to improve jaw movement and reduce pain.
‼️
What happens during a session?
The therapist may:

Gently mobilize the jaw joint‼️

Stretch tight jaw muscles
‼️
Massage muscles of the jaw, face, and neck‼️

Teach jaw-opening exercises‼️

Correct posture and neck movement problems that may contribute to TMJ symptoms

Benefits
For some people with Temporomandibular Joint Disorder, manual therapy can:

Increase mouth opening

Reduce pain and tenderness

Improve chewing and speaking

Decrease jaw locking

Improve overall jaw function

How many sessions are needed?
This depends on the diagnosis and severity:

Mild TMJ problems: often 4–6 sessions

Moderate problems: often 6–10 sessions

Long-standing or complex cases: 10–12+ sessions

Most therapists also prescribe home exercises, which are important for maintaining improvement.

Before starting
The therapist should assess:

Maximum mouth opening

Jaw deviation during opening

Joint sounds (clicking or popping)

Pain levels

Neck posture and movement

Whether imaging or referral to a TMJ specialist is needed
‼️
Important note
If the TMJ is severely inflamed, has advanced arthritis, or has a structural problem such as significant disc displacement, manual therapy alone may not fully resolve the ,

How wide you can open your mouth (approximately, in finger widths or millimeters),
diagnoses related to TMJ (temporomandibular joint) problems, common diagnoses include:

Temporomandibular Disorder (TMD)
Myofascial Pain Syndrome
Osteoarthritis of the TMJ
Rheumatoid Arthritis affecting the joint
Disc displacement within the TMJ (the cartilage disc moves out of position)
TMJ hypermobility or recurrent dislocation
Jaw fractures or post-traumatic TMJ dysfunction

Trigger points (painful, hyper-contracted muscle knots) and the nervous system are deeply interconnected. :)
Neural manipulation—a gentle manual therapy that releases tension and restrictions around peripheral nerves—helps lower the "danger" signals sent to the brain, prompting the surrounding muscles to relax. However, because trigger points usually stem from a combination of mechanical, behavioral, and structural factors, long-term relief requires a broader treatment approach.
We are able to supprt nerve system where lot of nerves are interconnected with brain and central nerve system but one cure of treatments can't always help :)

In osteopathy, circumferential motion refers to the gentle, rhythmic expansion and contraction of tissues or body cavities, rather than isolated joint articulation. ,💕This concept is primarily utilized in Visceral Manipulation and Cranial Osteopathy (OCF) to release tissue restrictions, enhance fluid dynamics, and promote autonomic nervous system balance.Specific applications of this motion include:The Primary Respiratory Mechanism (PRM): Involves the subtle, circumferential expansion and contraction of the cranium, sacrum, and overall central nervous system.💕 Practitioners use a gentle vault hold to perceive this rhythm.Visceral Motility: Internal organs possess an inherent, rhythmic circumferential motion (inhalation/exhalation), which osteopaths palpate to identify restrictions in surrounding connective tissues (fascia).Thoracic and Pelvic Diaphragms: Techniques are applied to guide circumferential release, improving lymphatic flow and thoracic compliance.💕

Trigger point therapy is a specialized massage therapy technique designed to identify and treat these problematic areas, providing relief from chronic muscle pain and improving overall muscle function.

What Are the Causes?
Trigger points can develop due to various factors:

Repetitive motions or overuse injuries
Poor posture or ergonomics
Trauma or injury to the muscle
Stress and tension
Medical conditions, such as fibromyalgia
Why is important foot as part of body how reflexology and trigger points in manuka therapy can help all body

The feet are important because they are a major foundation of the body. Each foot contains 26 bones, dozens of joints, muscles, ligaments, nerves, and blood vessels that support balance, movement, posture, and weight distribution. Problems in the feet can affect the knees, hips, spine, and overall body mechanics.

In many traditional healing systems, the feet are also viewed as connected to the rest of the body through nerve pathways, circulation, and energy maps.

Reflexology
Reflexology is a complementary therapy based on the idea that specific areas of the feet correspond to organs and systems in the body. Practitioners apply pressure to these “reflex points” to promote relaxation and support wellbeing.

Common claims include:

Reducing stress and tension

Improving relaxation and sleep

Supporting circulation

Helping with pain management

Encouraging a sense of whole-body balance

For example:

The heel is often associated with the lower back and pelvis

The ball of the foot is linked in reflexology charts to the chest and lungs

The toes are associated with the head and neck

Scientific evidence for reflexology is mixed. Many people report feeling relaxed and less stressed after sessions, but strong evidence that reflexology can directly treat internal diseases is limited.

Trigger Points
Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy focuses on tight, sensitive spots in muscles called trigger points. These points can refer pain to other areas of the body.

Examples:

Tight calf muscles can contribute to foot pain

Trigger points in the foot muscles may affect walking and posture

Tension in the feet can sometimes contribute to discomfort higher up the body chain

How Foot Work May Affect the Whole Body
Working on the feet can influence the whole body through several mechanisms:

Relaxing the nervous system

Improving circulation

Reducing stress hormones

Relieving muscle tension

Improving posture and gait

Creating a calming mind-body effect

The strongest medical evidence supports foot massage and trigger point work mainly for:

Relaxation

Temporary pain relief

Stress reduction

Improved comfort and wellbeing

They should complement, not replace, medical care for serious conditions.
Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy is a manual therapy technique used to treat pain and dysfunction caused by hyperirritable spots—known as trigger points—within skeletal muscle or fascia. These localized knots can refer pain to other body areas and restrict normal muscle movement, making this therapy relevant in managing chronic musculoskeletal pain.

I’m a Manual Structural Therapist who believes true transformation starts within the body and mind. I’m a deeply empathetic person, but I’m also someone with strong values and clear boundaries. I believe every person has the ability to transform themselves if they truly choose to.
Our experiences, emotions, and behavioral patterns are often stored within the body, and through conscious work, awareness, and healing, we can release what no longer serves us. My approach combines understanding, intuition, and structural bodywork to help people reconnect with themselves and create lasting change.
