Hello everyone, it’s Anthony (Len’s son).
I want to apologize to anyone who came by the shop today — I forgot to leave a note on the door.
The reason for the closure is a deeply personal one. Today, we said goodbye to my beautiful Yiayia (Leni’s mum). It was her funeral, and saying that final goodbye was one of the hardest moments of my life. But I’m grateful knowing she’s now at peace.
My Yiayia and my Papou were both barbers — real old-school, scissors-in-hand, heart-and-soul kind of people. I’m only here doing what I do because of them. The shop, the craft, the love for this work — it all started with them. Yiayia’s strength, warmth, and spirit are a big part of what keeps this place going.
So tonight, if you can, please join me in raising a glass to my Yiayia. May she rest in peace. ❤️🕊️
London E11 will be closed from 26th April to 9th may 2021. Due to the government announcement today. Please contact me here for appointments for when we reopen on 10th may! Stay safe everyone!
