☀️ Are you applying enough sunscreen?

Most of us use sunscreen — but many of us don’t use enough.

The SPF on your bottle is tested using *2 mg of sunscreen per cm² of skin*. For an average adult, that’s around 35 mL (≈ 9 teaspoons) to cover the whole body.

🧴 **A simple guide:**
• 1 tsp — face, neck & ears
• 1 tsp — each arm
• 2 tsp — front & back of torso
• 2 tsp — each leg

💡 Applying too little sunscreen can significantly reduce the protection you actually get.

So remember:
☀️ Apply generously
🔄 Reapply every 2 hours — and after swimming or heavy sweating
📱 Tools like SpotMyUV Europe can help remind you when it’s time to reapply by visually indicating UV exposure.

Your skin doesn't forget a sunburn. Protect it today. ❤️

At OncoBeta, we believe prevention starts with small everyday habits that can make a meaningful difference.

Not every visible skin change should automatically cause concern — but persistent or changing skin lesions should also not be ignored.

A lesion that changes in appearance, does not heal, becomes crusted, bleeds, or simply looks different from surrounding skin may deserve medical evaluation.
As summer continues and cumulative UV exposure increases, awareness and early attention to visible skin changes remain important parts of skin health.

🫶Prevention and awareness are not only about sun protection.
They are also about recognising when something on the skin may require professional assessment.

🏳️‍🌈Different perspectives make us stronger.

This Pride Month, we celebrate the diversity of our people and the unique experiences that shape our team.

We believe that an inclusive workplace is one where everyone feels welcome, heard and supported—because when people thrive, collaboration grows, ideas flourish and together we can make a greater impact for patients.

Inclusion isn’t defined by a single month. It’s something we strive to build every day.

Happy Pride Month from all of us at OncoBeta.

☀️ July marks UV Safety Awareness Month — UV exposure is not limited to holidays or extreme heat.

For many people, cumulative UV exposure happens gradually during everyday activities:

🚶 Walking outside
⛳ Outdoor sports
🌱 Gardening
🥗 Lunch breaks outdoors, or time spent
🏗️ Working outside.
According to public health organisations including the WHO and CDC, cumulative ultraviolet exposure remains one of the most important preventable risk factors associated with skin cancer.

This is why sun awareness is not only relevant at the beach — but also during everyday life throughout the summer months.
Simple preventive measures such as checking the UV index, seeking shade, wearing protective clothing, and regular skin checks can help support long-term skin health.

☀️ **July is UV Safety Awareness Month** — a timely reminder that protecting your skin should be part of every summer adventure.

Heading into the mountains, spending the day outdoors, or relaxing in the sun? UV radiation doesn't take a break. In fact, many people are surprised by how much UV exposure they receive, especially at higher altitudes.

Did you know that not all clothing provides the same level of sun protection? Light-coloured or thin fabrics can allow more UV radiation to pass through than you might expect.

Stay sun safe this summer:
🧴 Apply broad-spectrum sunscreen.
🕶️ Wear UV-protective clothing, a hat, and sunglasses.
⏰ Seek shade during peak UV hours whenever possible.

Your skin will thank you.

As non-melanoma skin cancer becomes more common around the world, more patients and families are looking for support, information, and treatment options that fit their individual needs.

At OncoBeta, we believe that improving access starts with working together. That means partnering with hospitals, clinicians, and community health teams to better understand what patients face every day – and how care can continue to evolve.

Our focus is simple:
• Support the teams who care for patients
• Share knowledge and real-world experiences across regions
• Listen to patient stories and what matters most to them
• Help strengthen the pathways that connect people with the care they need

Every step forward, no matter how small, helps build a future where more patients can receive the right care at the right time.

Because when access improves, lives can be positively impacted.

Henry was diagnosed with a 2 mm deep basal cell carcinoma ( ) on the right lateral cheek. Given his medical history including anticoagulant therapy and cardiac arrhythmia he discussed the available treatment options with his dermatologist.

After reviewing his individual situation, Henry and his doctor decided on treatment with Rhenium-SCT.

Cases like Henry’s highlight how treatment decisions in non-melanoma skin cancer are personalised, taking lesion characteristics and patient-specific factors into account.

At OncoBeta, we’re reimagining how non-melanoma skin cancer (NMSC) can be treated – with a therapy that’s precise, local, and designed to precisely target the NMSC lesion while minimising radiation exposure to healthy tissue.

Here’s a simple look at the process:
1️⃣ The treatment area is carefully marked and protected.
2️⃣ A small applicator is used to place the rhenium compound directly over the spot.
3️⃣ After a personalised treatment time the foil is removed – and the area begins to heal naturally.

It’s all about precision and care in every step.

Meet Gavin. After facing multiple skin cancers and the prospect of another invasive procedure, Gavin began exploring different care options with his physician – searching for a way forward that aligned with his individual situation. After consultation with his clinical team, Gavin chose the rhenium treatment for non-melanoma skin cancers.

At OncoBeta, we’re dedicated to supporting awareness, research, and innovation in the fight against non-melanoma skin cancer – helping to paint a brighter picture for patients everywhere.
