Nobody told us that after 40 our face changes not because we’re aging…but because
😮 muscles switch off.

When is the best time for Tao Face Yoga? 🧐 I get this question all the time…
In Tao, timing matters ⏱️ — because your body follows a natural rhythm.
☀️ Early morning (before 9 am)
This is the most powerful time to begin your day.
Shen (your spirit) is clear and your energy is fresh.
With gentle face practice + soft sun gazing, you awaken the brain and glands (pineal, pituitary) - supporting hormones, mood, and your natural glow.
🌿 9–11 am (Spleen time)
Connected with muscles and structure.
Perfect for toning, lifting, and more focused facial training — still soft, but precise.
🌙 5–7 pm (Kidney time)
Time for slowing down.
Your practice becomes nourishing, meditative… supporting regeneration, longevity, and deep feminine energy.
✨ So what is the best time?
The one where you feel present, not rushed. And when I work individually with my clients, I always tune into their rhythm and find the exact window that brings the fastest, most aligned results.

Waking up stiff…heavy head…puffy face…
This is not just “how mornings are.” I used to think that too. In TCM, this is a sign that Qi and fluids are not flowing freely.
During the night, your body should restore, move fluids, detox. But when there is stagnation — it shows right here: in the neck, jaw, and face.
The neck is a key energy gateway. It connects the head with the body, the mind with the heart, the face with your organs.
If it’s tight → Qi gets stuck, fluids accumulate, pressure builds and you wake up feeling exactly like that.
That’s why we don’t just stretch.
We shorten first — soften, bring awareness, invite Qi back.
Then we lengthen — creating space for flow.
This awakens:
✨ platysma
✨ fascia lines
✨ lymph movement
✨ and the natural lift of your face
When energy flows, puffiness melts, headaches ease, and your face starts to glow… effortlessly.

Your jaw is holding more than you think… ⛓️🦾
The masseter muscle — one of the strongest muscles in your body — carries stress, unspoken emotions, and daily tension from clenching, talking, and even overthinking.
When it becomes tight, you might notice:
• a heavier, wider jaw
• tension in the face and temples
• headaches or teeth grinding
• blocked lymph flow (hello puffiness)
• even a feeling of inner pressure
