The masterclass takes place at Allude Cashmere Headquarters in Munich — a space built around the craft of cashmere, from design to repair.
The group is kept deliberately small so that every participant works closely with our expert Dilek throughout the evening.

There are almost no invisible menders left. Dilek Can is one of them. A trained Schneidermeisterin, she found that invisible mending was simply not taught anymore — so she had work it out herself. How to fix the yarn, how to read a knitting pattern, which tools even existed for work this precise.
She figured it out alone so that, one day, others wouldn’t have to.
On June 17th, she teaches a small group in Munich.

You don’t need to know how to knit. You don’t need any prior experience.
During the masterclass, each step is demonstrated live on a large screen using a thicker knit and contrasting yarn so that every stitch becomes clearly visible. Participants then practice the same way before moving on to fine knit.
The process is guided step by step throughout the evening. Each stage builds on the last.

Invisible mending is not easy to learn alone. Most people spend weeks watching videos, trying and undoing, and starting again without ever knowing if it is correct.
Dilek Can has been refining this technique at our Cashmere Clinic since 2015.
In the masterclass, she works directly with participants, correcting each step in real time and guiding the process individually.
What takes weeks to figure out from videos online can be understood in a few hours through guided practice.

How to fix a snag in knitwear: don’t cut the thread or tie knots. Using the blunt end of a needle, gently pull the surrounding loops to even them out. You may need to repeat this several times in both directions until the snagged yarn is back in place. Slow, careful, and your knit is as good as new.
