Moisture is key: Deep condition before the tuck.
Let it go: If you know how, trim those badly split ends or let the hairstylist do it.
Clarify: Scrub away all that old product buildup.
Be careful with products: Don’t use very heavy oils and creams.
Save your edges: Choose a braid size and length that your natural hair can handle.
