Sort of Coal started with a fascination with Japan and Binchotan Charcoal. A decade later, our fascination has taken on many forms and has translated into water, body and air products used around the world.

As we evolve, we are incorporating new elements into our universe: a scent inspired by parfumeur Barnabe Filion that is inspired by the Japanese wilderness, as well as a new visual identity.

Our iconic Bincho bottle and a piece of Kishu Binchotan; a combo that turns tap water into mineral water. The Binchotan softens the water, ionizes it and rids it of up to 75% of its chlorine content. It also enriches it with minerals such as potassium and magnesium.
