It's the technique.

This is a conversation I have often with women who come to me after procedures done elsewhere. And every time, when we look at what happened, the real cause is one of these:

Mapping that ignores your natural asymmetry. No face is perfectly symmetrical, and that's completely normal. But mapping that doesn't read this asymmetry and compensate for it intelligently will produce a result that looks crooked or unbalanced even when the application technique itself is correct.

Implanting beyond the upper dermis, causing a cool or grey shift. When pigment reaches too deep, it comes into contact with skin layers that can't retain it correctly. The result is a colour that shifts to grey or blue over time, no matter how beautiful it looked immediately after the procedure.

Too much saturation in thin or oily areas. The skin in certain zones — especially at the brow tail or the corners of the lips- is thinner or oilier. These areas absorb pigment differently and heal differently. Excessive saturation in these points will inevitably lead to empty or uneven areas after healing.

Overworking the same section, creating shine or patchy retention. Tissue that's repeatedly traumatised in the same session no longer receives pigment correctly. The surface becomes shiny, a sign that the skin has reached its absorption limit — and healing will be uneven.

Choosing a shape without considering muscle movement or skin thickness. A shape that looks perfect on a static face can look completely different when the woman smiles, frowns, or raises her brow. An experienced specialist reads the face's dynamics too, not just its resting structure.

Uneven healing isn't inevitable. It's almost always a sign that something in the steps above was skipped or rushed. 🤍
