What is the Brazilian Keratin Treatment?

The Brazilian Keratin Treatment is virtually a “liquid form of hair” that gently blends with the hair on your head. It brings to hair what it’s lacking and what it has lost over the years.
If your hair is dull, dry, damaged and/or curly, wavy, frizzy, overly voluminous or unmanageable? The BKT puts an end to all that.
The Brazilian Keratin Treatment is considered a treatment that pe*****tes small keratin (protein) molecules into the hair shaft and adheres larger keratin molecules to the hair cuticle by the use of a flat iron. This technique repairs the hair from the inside out, and protects it from environmental insults such as UV rays, smog and smoke. The added strength, elasticity and moisture result in the smooth, soft, shiny and straightened hair effect.
1. Can you do the treatment over Japanese straightening?
Yes. You can do the treatment over any kind of straightening. In fact, doing a BKT over already straightened hair will give the hair the best of all worlds; permanent straightening, frizz free hair and amazing shine!

2. Is this treatment a relaxer?
No. It is a treatment based on keratin that naturally straightens your hair.

3. Can you do the treatment after coloring?
Yes. For best results we recommend only after you color your hair. It will seal down the color on the hair shaft and help prevent fadeage

4. Can you do the treatment on top of relaxed hair?
Yes. You can do the treatment over any previously relaxed hair.

5. Can you do the treatment on previously chemically treated hair?
Yes. You can do the treatment over any previously chemically treated hair. The more porous your hair, the better the results.

6. Can you do the treatment on highlighted hair?
Yes. You can do the highlights and do the treatment right after.

7. Can you do it on virgin hair?
Yes. But it won’t last as long as a previously colored or chemically treated hair. This treatment will work best on hair that has been chemically treated. The Keratin needs to pe*****te the hair shaft and this is most effectively achieved when the hair has been previously opened by prior chemical treatments.

8. Can you do the treatment on children, if yes, what ages?
Yes. How old will depend on the child's ability to stay still in the chair for between two to three hours and follow instructions clearly.

9. Can I color my hair and do the treatment?
Yes. We recommend you color the hair first.

10. Can I color my hair after the treatment?
Yes. We recommend doing so only 2 weeks after you have done the treatment.

11. Can I wash my hair after the treatment, and when?
Yes, but only 4 whole days (96 hours) after you have done the treatment. To wash or even wet your hair before the recommended time will hamper results.

12. Can I wear a ponytail or tie my hair?
No, only 4 days after doing the treatment. The hair is still very vulnerable to demarcations during the curing time.

13. What should I do if my hair gets wet during the first 4 days?
Blow dry immediately.

14. Can I go into the pool or ocean after the treatment?
Yes. Again after 4 days have past and you have washed it at least once.

15. How long will the treatment stay on my hair?
2 months on virgin hair, and 3-4 on any other type of hair.

16. What shampoo can I use after doing the treatment?
We recommend shampoos that do not contain Sodium Chloride and also has Keratin and UV protection in it. After your treatment, you will be given a care package with the appropriate shampoo and conditioner.

17. Do I have to do touch-ups on my next visit or the whole head?
Because this isn't a chemical straightener, but a treatment, the whole head must always be done over.

18. When should I have the treatment done again?
Once the Keratin treatment wears off, your hair will look blended. You will know when to do it again. Usually within 3 to 5 months.

19. What will my hair look like if I don't keep this up?
It is easy to get use to a good thing. Many times one forgets what one's hair looked like before the treatment. If your hair had damage before the keratin treatment and your hair was repaired by the treatment, and as the treatment wears off, you may feel that your hair looks damaged. You should not have more damage unless there was excessive services done after the treatment to cause more damage.

20. Should I cut my hair before the treatment?
We recommend cutting your hair afterwards. After the BKT your hair will be in much better shape. This way you cut only what is necessary

21. Can I use any hair-spray, gel, mousse, or any other hair products on my hair during the 4 day period?
No. We recommend that you keep the hair free of any products during the curing process.

22. If I get any ridges in my hair when I sleep, what should I do?
Use either a blow dryer or flat iron to straighten out the ridge in the hair as soon as possible. A satin pillow case helps with this problem.

23. Can I do the treatment while pregnant or nursing?
It is not recommended.

24. Can an infant be present while the treatment is being done?
No. Because the smell may irritate the child.

الكيراتين هو بروتين الجلد والشعر والأظافر الأساسي. أما علاج الكيراتين فأحدث طريقة لإعادة الشعرة الى طبيعتها.
يسمح هذا العلاج الطبيعي للشعر بالتحلي بالنعومة الطبيعية التي كان يتحلّى بها قبل تعرّضه للعوامل الخارجية المسيئة.

على عكس العلاجات الأخرى الموجودة في الأسواق ومنها علاج Relaxers والعلاج الياباني الحراري الملطف أو Japanese thermal hair conditioner، فالكيراتين يقوّم الشعر من دون أن يضر أو يغيّر في طبيعته أو نسيجه. كذلك يمكن استخدام هذا العلاج على أنواع الشعر كلّها بما فيها تلك التي سبق أن خضعت لعلاجاتٍ كيميائية مثل التلوين والصبغة والتبييض وسحب اللون أو تركيزه.

علاج
يعرف علاج الكيراتين البرازيلي الاصل بالعلاج المقوّم المستمر (Progressive Straightening). وتدوم مدته من ساعة ونصف الى أربع حسب اختلاف طول الشعر وكثافته.
بعد استعمال المستحضرات اللازمة، يختم العلاج بكيّ حارّ للشعر لحبس الرطوبة وإعطائه اللمعان الطبيعي. وتظهر النتجة مباشرةً بعد الانتهاء من العلاج.

النتائج
تدوم نتائج العلاج لفترة تتراوح بين الشهرين والأربعة وتزول تدريجيًا عند الاستحمام المتكرر. مع إعادة العلاج كلّ فترة، ستلاحظين تغيّر طبيعة الشعر الذي ينمو حديثًا بحيث يصبح أكثر صحة وكثافة.

مستحضرات الكيراتين
• إذا أردت استعمال علاج الكيراتين مع الإبقاء على طبيعة شعرك الاجعد، الجأي الى QOD max Cacao Keratin Treatment 0% FORMALDEHYDE الذي يحتوي على مستخلص الكاكاو ورائحة الشوكولاتة والكيراتين والفيتامين والكولاجين وخليط البوليكاتيرين والسيليكا. يعمل هذا المستحضر على التقليل من حجم الشعر وزيادة لمعانه كما يغلف الشعر ليحميه من الإستعمال اليومي للمجفف. وهو خال من الفورمالدهيد(Formaldehyde) كليًا لذا فهو لن يقوّم شعرك الأجعد.

• إذا أردت مستحضرًا بالمكونات والنتائج نفسها لكن مع تقويم الشعر، عليك باستخدام QOD max Cacao Brazilian Keratin Hair Treatment.

وقاية
عليك أن تعرفي بعض الأسباب المباشرة وغير المباشرة لتلف شعرك لتتفادي التعرّض لها.

• جفاف المناخ: قد يجفّ الشعر وأطرافه نتيجة العوامل المناخية المتقلبة أو ارتفاع درجات الحرارة أو العوامل البيئية الضارة.

• الشامبو: استخدام شامبو منظف قوي يسلب الشعر زيوته الطبيعية. كما ان استعمال شامبو غير مناسب لنوعية شعرك قد يتسبّب بمشاكل مثل ظهور القشرة أو تساقط الشعر.

• الترسبات: يؤدى عدم تنظيف الشعر جيدًا من الشامبو أو من مستحضرات تصفيف الشعر وتمشيطه إلى تقصفه بشكل مباشر وسريع.

• غسل الشعر: يفقد الافراط في غسل الشعر أكثر من ثلاث مرات أسبوعيًا زيوته الطبيعية الضرورية لمرونته وحمايته.

• مجفّف الشعر: إنّ كثرة تعريض الشعر لمجفّف الشعر وأدوات تصفيف الشعر الساخنة الأخرى أو تمشيطه وشدّه بقسوة يصيبه بالجفاف والتكسّر ويجعله هشًا ورقيقًا.

• سوء التغذية: تؤدي التغذية السيئة دورًا رئيسًا في التأثير على صحة شعرك وتساقطه وخصوصًا نقص الفيتامينات والبروتينات والمعادن الضروررية لنموه..

هل تعلمين؟
• حين يتوقف الشعر عن إنتاج مادة الكيراتين تنتهى دورة الحياة فتسقط الشعرة لتحل مكانها شعرة جديدة.
• عدد شعر رأس الإنسان نحو 100 ألف شعرة. وفي كل سنة تتجدد نسبة 25 % من شعرنا.
• من الطبيعى أن يسقط كل يوم من رأسنا ما يتراوح بين 50 و60 شعرة.
• ينمو الشعر بسرعة تتراوح نسبتها بين 12 و15 سنتمترًا في العام أي بمعدل 0.4 ميليمتر في اليوم. وتبلغ هذه السرعة حدها الأقصى في فترة العمر الممتدة بين 50 و 70 عامًا.
