The story of a difficult nail 🤍

This nail had already undergone surgery.
The nail plate was removed, but after some time, the ingrown nail returned.

And this is where the most important part begins.

A recurrence is not simply “the nail is ingrown again.”
It is a sign that we need to understand why the nail continues to grow incorrectly.

My approach is not simply to remove the painful area.
My goal is to reduce inflammation, restore the surrounding nail tissue, and guide the nail plate as it grows.

But the result depends not only on the treatment.

I guide my clients through every stage and explain how to care for the nail at home and what to avoid so that we do not trigger another inflammatory process.

Because a difficult nail cannot be corrected with one procedure.

It is a journey: specialist → client → proper home care → healthy nail growth.

My goal is not a temporary solution, but to create the right conditions for the nail to gradually grow in the correct direction. 🤍

🦶 Why is foot care so important?

Our feet carry us every day. Dryness, calluses and cracks can weaken the skin’s natural protective barrier.

🍎 Fruit Pedicure gently removes excess dead skin, supports natural skin renewal and helps restore a smooth, healthy skin barrier.

It’s not just about beautiful feet.
It’s about healthy, cared-for and restored skin. 🌿

Sometimes I watch videos like this and think: why reinvent the wheel? 🙈

Feet are not the place for experiments. It doesn’t matter how fancy the technique sounds or what tool is being used.

Don’t reinvent the wheel — come and learn.
Gain proper knowledge, become a true professional, help people — and please, do no harm. ❤️

Professionalism isn’t about inventing more techniques. It’s about understanding what to do, why you’re doing it, and how to do it safely.

🔬 THE 3 STAGES OF INFLAMMATION
And why understanding tissue regeneration matters

Inflammation is not simply redness or swelling. It is a natural protective response of the body that initiates the process of tissue repair.

For anyone working professionally with nails and periungual tissues, it is essential to understand the physiology of inflammation and how the body progresses from tissue injury toward regeneration.

1️⃣ ALTERATION — TISSUE INJURY

The inflammatory process begins with tissue damage.

Cells are injured and release signals that initiate the inflammatory response.

Redness, pain, tenderness and local warmth may develop.

👉 The priority at this stage is to avoid additional trauma and eliminate the factor that continues to damage the tissue.

2️⃣ EXUDATION — CLEANSING

Blood flow and vascular permeability increase. Fluid and immune cells move into the damaged area.

Swelling develops and exudate may appear.

👉 This is an important stage because the body is clearing the damaged area and preparing the tissue for repair.

3️⃣ PROLIFERATION — REPAIR & REGENERATION

Once the damaging factor has been controlled and the inflammatory response begins to resolve, the body moves into tissue repair.

Cells involved in tissue formation become active, and the damaged area gradually begins to restore its structure.

👉 This is where regeneration takes place.

🌿 WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT?

Because tissue should not be repeatedly traumatized in an attempt to “remove the problem.”

The body needs to move through its physiological sequence:

INJURY → INFLAMMATION → CLEANSING → REPAIR → REGENERATION

When we understand this process, we can work more carefully and support the natural recovery of the tissue instead of interfering with it.

Professional care is not simply about treating what we can see.
It is about understanding what is happening within the tissue and respecting its natural path to recovery.

⚠️ Too much skin has been removed here — the skin barrier of the foot has essentially been damaged. This is not the right way to work.

The skin is our natural protective barrier, and our goal is not simply to “remove” skin, but to understand why the problem has developed and help the skin recover.

Before any treatment, it is important to take a proper history, assess the condition of the skin, and consider any underlying health conditions. If, as a professional, you are not confident about how to work with a particular problem — don’t experiment. Refer your client to a doctor or an appropriately qualified specialist.

We don’t simply perform pedicures. We work with the feet and help restore their health.

Professionalism is not only about knowing how to treat the skin. It is also about understanding when and how you can help, and when it is better to refer a client to another specialist.

Protect the skin barrier — it should never be aggressively removed just to make the skin look smooth. 🤍

My client’s feedback after 3 months of working with her feet 🤍
We didn’t just do a pedicure — we restored the skin barrier and improved the health of her feet.

🌿 Your Skin Knows How to Heal — Sometimes It Just Needs Support.

Many people think aromatic botanicals are simply pleasant fragrances.
However, modern clinical aromatherapy reveals a much deeper story.
The skin is far more than a protective barrier. It is a complex neuro-immuno-endocrine organ that constantly communicates with the nervous system, immune system, and endocrine system.
One of the most fascinating discoveries in recent years is that our skin has its own endocannabinoid system (ECS)—a sophisticated regulatory network that helps maintain skin homeostasis.
The skin's ECS plays an important role in regulating:
• inflammation
• skin barrier repair
• moisture balance
• cell renewal
• itch sensation
• sebaceous gland activity
When this system functions properly, the skin remains healthy, resilient, and balanced.
When its regulation is disrupted, chronic inflammatory skin conditions such as psoriasis, atopic dermatitis (eczema), acne, and impaired wound healing may develop.
✨ How can clinical aromatherapy support the skin?
Many aromatic plant extracts contain naturally occurring terpenes—bioactive compounds that are currently being studied for their ability to support the skin's natural regulatory processes.
Research suggests that these compounds may help modulate inflammation, reduce oxidative stress, and support the skin's endocannabinoid signaling pathways.
It is important to remember that clinical aromatherapy does not replace medical treatment. However, when applied appropriately by trained professionals, it may complement skin care by supporting the skin's natural healing mechanisms and helping restore balance.
This is why, in my practice, I integrate podiatry, clinical aromatherapy, and evidence-informed skin physiology—because true skin care is not only about treating symptoms but also about supporting the body's own capacity to heal.
💚 Did you know your skin has its own endocannabinoid system?
