Know that the Goddess is not somewhere outside. She is in your courage, in the depths of your sensitivity. The sadhana of Navaratri is not to know the Goddess, but to remember that you yourself are a part of her. Shailaputra was born from the silence of the Himalayas. She is strength, constancy, so on the first day of Navaratri it is important to put down roots and gain strength so that one can rise from the roots and grow upwards.

Žinokite, kad Deivė nėra kažkur išorėje. Ji yra jūsų drąsoje, jūsų jautrumo gilumoje. Navaratrio sadhana nėra skirta pažinti Deivę, bet atsiminti, kad jūs patys esate Jos dalis. Šailaputrė gimė iš Himalajų tylos. Ji tvirtumas, pastovumas, todėl pirmąją Navaratrio dieną svarbu įleisti šaknis ir įgauti tvirtumą, kad galima būtų nuo šaknų stiebtis ir augti aukštyn.
