Well well, what have we here?!

A transformationThursday thats what! 😲😍
Lesley has been home colouring her hair for a while now, and as a result, the lovely brown colour she wanted has got darker and darker and reached a nearly black stage of build up.

Today was about stripping as much of that out as we could (without damage to the hair) and then applying the brown colour of choice.🟤

I'm not gonna lie, this went REALLY well! Colour corrections can look very scary in the middle, and sometimes, very scary at the end too 😲 we can't always achieve the desired result in one appointment and setting realistic expectations is very important.🤞

Lesleys hair however, cooperated extremely well, lifted qu**ky and coloured as evenly as I could have hoped. 🎉

WE DIDNT EVEN CUT IT! Just a blow dry and off she went like a new woman with brighter looking skin, eyes that now pop and a big smile on her face! 😁

Thank you Lesley for the trust! And for having a mug of sweet tea instead of a panic attack when the orange and yellow stage of this was revealed! You look PHENOMENAL 😍

Now go do the catwalk down Cabo Roig strip and swing that chocolate bob from side to side and work it......before the sweat and humidity gets at you! 🤣😍

Today I had the pleasure of colouring the beautiful Claudines hair and this one was fun!😲😍

Claudine arrived today with hair that over time had just got blonder and blonder, looking like a brassy all over colour (which can happen with constant highlighting) 👱‍♀️
We wanted to do a reverse balayage (which involves adding darker tones/lowlights) for dimension and a more natural blend with her dark roots.... & I think we succeeded 🥰

Don't ever be afraid of adding darker tones into your blonde hair for contrast and re balancing folks!
If you simply bleach highlight everything each time, in the end you highlight nothing. (That felt very poetic.....am i Shakespeare now? 🤣)

The perks of this change?
1) A more natural grow out, so less frequent need for colouring (not only cheaper BUT helpful to the condition and integrity of the hair long term)
2) The hair will have more dimension, but will also shine and reflect a little light (blonde is not a great colour for this, plus damage over time from lightening can leave the hair dull.)
3) From now on her skin and eye colour will look brighter as she has a hair colour that is complimentary to her natural tones.(basically she is a babe!!)

And as if the colour change wasn't enough we removed a TON of weight, kept her length and gave her shorter layers with some beachy waves to finish. ABSOLUTELY STUNNING 😍

Claudine, I hope your planned afternoon at home turned into a compliment fest at the pub with your friends instead....I mean if ever a hairdo deserved to be taken out and shown off it was this one!🥰

So, after a long & happy 3 years, Hairdresser Cabo Roig, the best little hair house got a long awaited revamp! 👏

Thanks to the expansion of my friends and business neighbours Easy Exercise Cabo Roig, my walls were knocked down and I have had the pleasure of being relocated....wait for it..... a mere sidestep all the way to next door 😂

So from me (and my fancy paintwork, new shelves, plants-a-plenty and brighter and cleaner wee shop) welcome to the new and improved salon ✂️🥰

Oh, and thanks for all your wonderful feedback so far, especially the NUMEROUS "thank god these mirrors only show my head and not my stomach as well now" comments 🤦‍♀️😂 What can I say, I paid attention folks 😂 (wait till ye find out there's a coffee machine! You are gonna lose your minds lol ☕️)

Sometimes people want a wee trim and their regular root colour maintained.....and sometimes people want to change their hair completely! 😲

Kia has had enough of being blonde and was ready to embrace a healthy, shiny dark chocolate colour....BUT....not quite ready to commit to it all over! 👎
The compromise was a carefully placed halo of icy blonde to keep the brightness around her face, with slithers of dark falling through the fringe so it didnt look like she was wearing a blonde headband 😜

To say i love this hair would be an understatement!! ❤️

Oh and thank you Kia for standing in a small hurricane in the street so i could take these pictures because i forgot to take the 'after' shots while you were in the salon.🤦‍♀️

Look, I'm currently growing my hair and I understand the fear of cutting it even a TEENY TINY bit....BUT, look at these before and after photos! Look at the MASSIVE difference dead-ending the hair can do 😲

Do not be afraid of taking of the wispy damaged ends of your hair. It will look thicker, healthier and bizarrely, sometimes, it will even look longer! (Its an optical illusion, I'm not a witch I promise 😂)

Hair cannot grow if the ends are split/broken/damaged so please include regular TINY trims into your hair growing experience. You will be rapunzel in no time!! 😂💇‍♀️

We can grow our hair together and hold each other's hands through the necessary trims....we've got this! ❤️😁
