It isn’t about forcing a release
It’s about noticing what’s still sitting in the body
What still triggers you
What still pulls your energy
What still feels unfinished
That’s your work
Not to rush it
Not to dress it up as “healed”
Just to be real with it
The rest shifts naturally when you stop avoiding it
Soften into it…
Breathe through it…
Let it move the way it needs to
Nothing forced
Nothing performed
Just you, meeting yourself a little deeper 💫
Happy Full Moon my lovelies 🙏🏽

The full moon is a reminder to pause ✨
To slow down enough to reflect, reset, and realign.
It invites you to look honestly at your mindset, your routines, your self-care, not to judge them, but to notice what’s truly supporting you… and what’s quietly draining you 🌕
The full moon doesn’t ask you to be positive.
It asks you to be honest.
Astrologically, the full moon is a point of illumination 🌕
What has been building beneath the surface over the past weeks comes into awareness, not to overwhelm you, but to bring clarity and completion.
Full moons naturally heighten emotion, intuition, and sensitivity.
From a biological perspective, increased light exposure and disrupted sleep rhythms can amplify emotional responses, so if you feel more tender, reflective, or restless, your nervous system is simply responding as it’s designed to.
This is why grounding matters.
When we slow the breath, soften the body, and bring attention to the present moment, we signal safety to the brain.
The parasympathetic nervous system activates, heart rate slows, muscles release, and the body remembers how to regulate itself.
Spiritually, this is a moment of release.
Not forced.
Not dramatic.
Just conscious.
Choosing to soften where you’ve been holding tension.
Choosing compassion where you’ve been self-critical.
Allowing what no longer serves you to gently fall away 🤍

First Sunrise of February ☀️
The first sunrise of the month reminds us that every day is a new beginning, and every month holds fresh possibilities 🌞
As the light spills over the horizon, take a moment to breathe deeply, feel the warmth on your skin, and set your intentions. Science tells us morning sunlight helps regulate our circadian rhythm, boosting mood and energy, nature’s way of aligning us with the day 🌿
✨ Set one positive goal for the month:
Choose something that uplifts you, challenges you in a gentle way, or brings more joy into your life. It could be as simple as committing to a daily walk, practicing gratitude, connecting more deeply with loved ones, or dedicating time to a passion project. Focus on one thing that will make your February feel intentional and full of purpose.
Here’s to stepping into February with light, love, and purpose 💛

Gentle cleanse & New Year detox… Day 12:12
Final day and I’m feeling truly alive 💫
I’m not feeling that rush to finish so I can dive back into bad habits. Honestly, I’ve really enjoyed the food I’ve eaten during this programme and more importantly, I’ve shifted habits I’d recently slipped into.
I found myself eating chocolate for lunch and that was never me. I was drained, worn out, and running on empty. The lack of time I was giving myself day to day was upsetting, even when I was drinking, I gave myself more time than I had over the past few months since opening the business (apart from the months just before I quit).
I needed that Christmas break (the first real time off I’ve had in 12 months) to reset and remember how important it is to prioritise myself. These last 12 days have reminded me just how incredible it feels to do that.
I love eating foods that make me feel good throughout the day.
I love waking up fresh, energised, and clear-headed instead of sluggish.
I’m loving how bright my skin looks, how light my body feels, and not feeling bloated.
There’s no way I’m going back to how I ended up before this. I never want to neglect myself like that again.
Before my breakdown / awakening, I enjoyed eating healthily but alcohol was always the part I couldn’t control. Until it reached a point where quitting wasn’t a choice, it was survival.
Moving forward, I’m choosing an 80:20 lifestyle - balance, consistency, and self-respect.
This time, for the best version of myself.
This euphoric feeling, I don’t want to lose it ✨
Lunch today was oats with raspberries (wheat milk) and for tea, more leftover veggies smashed and baked - No picking, no snacking ⭐️
And just a reminder to anyone reading:
When you want something badly enough, it becomes almost effortless. When you start seeing the results, in your skin, your body, your energy, and your sense of self it stops being a chore.
It becomes a necessity.
A joyful feeling you’ll want to protect and keep 💛

Gentle cleanse and New Year detox… Day 11: 12
No Monday blues here, just fresh energy, feeling keen and eager to get the day started, with a full week ahead doing work I genuinely love doing.
I’ve now completed two weekends in a row with no sugar or junk, and honestly… I feel so good. Apart from the odd craving over the last 11 days, I’m really not missing it at all. I’m just loving how I’m feeling in my body and mind.
For lunch I had oats with banana and blueberries, simple, nourishing, and satisfying.
For tea, leftover veggies with an egg, all baked in the oven. So easy, delicious, and full of goodness, perfect after a busy day.
No picking or snacking ⭐️
Yoga in the morning, dancing in the afternoon, these practices are so important to me. They keep me grounded, energised, and connected to myself.
Off to bed feeling strong, disciplined, and so proud of myself 🌙

Gentle cleanse and New Year detox… Day 10: 12
Love waking up full of energy especially on a Sunday! Feeling great in my body I’m loving how light and strong my body feels, it’s a great reminder of how well I’ve been treating myself 💫
We took a refreshing walk along the old railway track (Via Verde) from Olula del Río to Purchena. The air was crisp, and the scenery was absolutely beautiful, definitely felt like a reset for the mind and body. It’s amazing how nature can ground you and recharge your energy.
Walked up a right appetite, for lunch was yogurt with musli & banana, and a slice of tortilla. Simple, but so delicious and fulfilling.
For tea… one of my all-time favourites, a Sunday dinner! I kept it on the lighter side, skipping the roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding, no meat (I rarely eat meat, although won’t commit to going back to being a strict vegetarian). Belly bursting at the seams but this time full of goodness so zero guilt 😊
No picking or snacking for 10 days ⭐️
Ending the day feeling satisfied, calm, and connected to myself. Exactly how a Sunday should feel 🌿
Moments like this remind me why I started. Consistency, not perfection, and I’m showing up for myself every day 💫

Gentle cleanse and New Year detox… Day 9: 12
After a bit of a tougher day yesterday, I woke up feeling great today, and super proud of myself for not giving in.
I know that if I can give up class A drugs and alcohol, then sugar isn’t going to beat me. That doesn’t mean it’s easy, just that I know I have the strength within me to resist.
Maybe sometimes we need days like yesterday. Little reminders of who we are, and just how much power and control we actually have over ourselves.
Took the dogs down to the coast, honestly, not as blissful as it sounds! My mother managed to get her car stuck going down a sloppy, muddy hill, and I ended up pushing it back up with the help of an older couple 🙈
After pushing the car a few metres, I ran up to the top of the hill. I usually avoid running because I get breathless almost instantly, especially uphill… but when I reached the top I realised I wasn’t breathless at all!
Shocked (in the best way), I took the dog for a couple of runs along the promenade, still no issues with my breathing.
This is probably another benefit I’ve noticed since giving up alcohol. I wouldn’t have classed myself as unfit before, I used to walk a minimum of 11km every morning plus yoga, but I could never run even a few steps without feeling breathless. So this feels like a massive improvement.
For lunch, we finished off the squash and pepper soup.
For tea, I made tortilla with the tiniest amount of olive oil (baked), mushrooms also baked with the tiniest amount of olive oil… and yes, I hate to say it, those tinned beans again 😅
I felt like I deserved a pudding today, so I opted for yoghurt with fresh berries and a little dark chocolate.
In the afternoon, I did some dancing, Im learning a new routine that really pushes me. I’ve almost mastered it now, and I’m feeling really proud of myself for that too.
✨ Progress isn’t always loud, sometimes it shows up in breath you didn’t lose, strength you didn’t know you had, and pride you actually let yourself feel ✨

Gentles cleanse and New Year detox… Day 8: 12
Great start to the day! Cravings hit hard though, stood in the supermarket staring at pizza, debating whether to give in. Sided with the good half of me 😅
Evening sugar cravings almost got me, chocolate was calling my name, but I stayed strong.
Lunch: yogurt with dried cranberries and muesli
Tea: jacket potato with tinned beans (full of salt and preservatives) a little disappointed with myself I didn’t make my usual beans from scratch. Jacket beans and cheese without the cheese, note to self: not the same, definitely not a Friday night treat 😂
Apart from the usual morning routine, there wasn’t much time for extra practice on the mat today. Between clients in the little pockets of time I had I worked on a new dance routine, even a few minutes felt so good.
It’s amazing how just a bit of movement and focus on something you love can lift energy and mood.
Overall: mental battles aside, I feel great and empowered going to bed tonight 💪

Gentle cleanse & New Year detox… Day 7: 12
Yay! Day 7! My whole body feels lighter, there’s a massive change in my waist and my energy. I feel bright, fresh, and clear.
Today’s smoothie was thick, creamy, and naturally sweet, packed with berries, apple, dates, seeds, and yogurt. A proper nourishing blend that kept me full, satisfied, and energised.
Smoothie Recipe:
• Frozen berries
• Dried dates
• Apple
• Pumpkin seeds
• Sunflower seeds
• Chia seeds
• Yogurt
For tea, I made a butternut squash & red pepper soup - no picking or snacking ⭐️
I’ve been working on yoga poses that challenge me, using the practice to stretch, strengthen, and really check in with my body. Small wins on the mat are helping me feel more grounded and present off it too 💚
Overall, I feel amazing, probably the best I’ve felt in a long time. Since giving up alcohol 1.5 years ago, I’ve experienced so many positive changes in my body. This isn’t so much a detox as it is getting myself back on track. Health has always been important to me; I’ve used cannabis and diet to manage my arthritis for 20 years, but in the months before quitting alcohol, my health wasn’t my priority, and I kind of lost myself. Being here right now, taking my control back, literally makes me feel so empowered I’m seriously loving it.
