Persistent. Consistent. Grateful.
Three words I try to bring to my mat, and honestly, to everything else too 🤍
The getting is the exciting part. The keeping is the quiet, unglamorous bit — showing up again on the days it feels like nothing's changing. And the gratitude is what turns "I have to practise" into "I get to."
Your body remembers what you repeat. So does your nervous system.
Where are you being consistent this week, even in a small way? Tell me below 👇

Balance isn't just a leg workout. It's a brain one.
Every time you wobble your way into tree pose (or half moon, or eagle) your brain is doing quiet, serious work: memory, attention, quick thinking, all the same circuits, all firing at once. Train the wobble and you're training all of it.
And it matters more as we get older. Studies have found that people with stronger balance tend to have a lower risk of dementia down the line, and that yoga practitioners show more grey matter in the brain regions behind memory and thinking. Balance also happens to be one of the simplest, most trainable ways to help prevent the kind of fall that can affect brain health too.
So next time you're wobbling through tree pose, know it's not a sign you're doing it wrong. It's the whole point.
Balance-focused sessions available, in person or woven into your existing practice. DM me to ask, or to book a time. 🧘♀️
When we were little, "what do you want to be when you grow up?" always got answered with a job. Teacher. Pilot. Lawyer. Architect. As if the whole point of growing up was landing on a title.
Nobody ever asked us how we wanted to feel.
Happy. Healthy. Free. Loving. Kind. Adventurous. Those were never on the list, but they're the only answers that actually matter now.
This is what yoga and Rosen Method are really about for me. Not another job title, not another box to tick, just coming back to who you actually want to be underneath all of it.
So if someone asked you today, not what do you do, but how do you want to feel... what would you say?
I’m lucky enough to be surrounded by some genuinely wonderful people on that mat. Beginners who swore they’d never do yoga in their life. Women getting back into their bodies after years away from anything like this. People who can’t touch their toes and couldn’t care less.
We practice together. Nobody’s chasing the perfect pose, nobody’s comparing themselves to the person next to them. You show up, you do what your body can do today, and you leave a little better than you walked in.
That’s it. That’s the whole practice.

Not enough touch is linked to loneliness, raised stress hormones and low mood, at any age.
And as we get older, the touch we relied on without even noticing tends to fall away. Partners, parents, the casual hugs you never had to think about. The need for them doesn’t go anywhere. Just the touch itself.
This isn’t woo! Touch lowers cortisol, releases oxytocin and calms your nervous system through the vagus nerve.
Rosen Method is literally touch based work: slow, attentive hands on sessions that help your body feel safe enough to let go of what it has been holding.
Touch isn’t indulgent. It’s information your body needs.

Go on just the one…
There can be a lot of pressure to drink in summer.
BBQs, holidays, long lunches, evenings with friends… alcohol is often just there, and sometimes saying no can feel more awkward than having the drink in the first place.
Alcohol can affect the body in more ways than we sometimes realise.
It can disrupt sleep, leave you dehydrated, affect mood and energy levels, and make it harder for your body to recover properly. It can also add up calorie-wise very quickly, especially with wine, cocktails and sugary mixers.
Swapping out a few alcoholic drinks doesn’t have to mean missing out either.
Try sparkling water with fresh lime, an alcohol-free spritz, kombucha, a good quality tonic with fruit, or one of the many alcohol-free wines and beers now available.
The biggest thing is choice!
If you want a drink, enjoy it. If you don’t, that should be just as normal. You never need to explain, justify or apologise for choosing what feels better for your body.
We start out super detox soon. Comment IN below ⬇️ I’ll DM the details.
