Nuestra piel, que constituye el órgano más extenso de nuestro cuerpo, necesita una serie de cuidados habituales durante todo el año y otros que podemos realizar en épocas determinadas. Evidentemente, va a depender mucho del estado previo de la piel de la cual partimos, de la edad, del fotoenvejecimiento previo, pero si tenemos en cuenta una serie de principios básicos, lograremos mejorar la calidad cutánea. La Agencia Española de Dermatología y Venereología nos da las pautas para cuidar la piel según la época del año.

🌞 Empecemos por el verano: Estamos en veranos y sabemos que la protección solar va por encima de todo. La fotoprotección debe ser de la máxima potencia que exista en el mercado, teniendo en cuenta que aún no se ha conseguido el filtro total, sino de alta protección, con lo que a pesar de llevar puesto un protector, siempre habrá bronceado de la piel aunque sea un poco, y consecuentemente llegará el fotoenvejecimiento a corto o a medio y a largo plazo.

La incidencia del cáncer de piel ha aumentado un 40% en los últimos cuatro años. Anualmente, se diagnostica a más de 78.000 nuevos pacientes y se espera que en 2040 el melanoma se convierta en el segundo tumor en incidencia global.*

Sabemos que el principal factor de riesgo para estos tipos de cáncer es prevenible, y está vinculado a la exposición a radiaciones ultravioleta, principalmente derivadas de una prolongada exposición al sol.

Es crucial tomar conciencia de la necesidad de implementar medidas preventivas adecuadas: limitar la exposición al sol, proteger la piel y utilizar protectores solares. It is crucial to be aware of the need to implement appropriate preventive measures: limit exposure to the sun, protect the skin, and use sunscreens. These measures can significantly reduce the incidence of these types of skin cancer, as well as mitigate adverse effects on the skin, such as sunburn and premature aging.
