👉 Have you noticed that simply stretching has very temporary effect. That said it does not mean it’s effective less. But in functional movement we don’t thrive on relaxing and lengthening. It is a complex system of strength and ability to lengthen. 👉 Even during the walk, it is constant stretch reflex. Stretch Reflex is the ability of your body to contract and shorten the muscle that is being pulled in a very short time. Thanks to that we can jump, immediately find balance when we slip, and basically move. This way we don’t fold in half while standing. 👉 By adding strength component in our practice we build better nervous connections within the body. Which helps to communicate better with our limbs. And in the future send stronger signals to inhibit leg extension. —————— CHECK OUT BIO LINK 🔗 for: 📖 Full-Body Mobility Program💥 —————— Tag someone who needs to see this ❤️ —————— Great post by @blacktigerwhitedragon —————— —————— ⚠️ Disclaimer- this summary is for educational purposes only and should not substitute medical advice. —————— #ptvitals #kneepainaid #jointhealth #mobilitytraining #exercisetips #movementismedicine #functionalmovement #hipflexors #hipmobilit
