JAK-Metalli Oy is an engineering workshop in Mänttä, in the Pirkanmaa region in Finland. We are specialists in the manufacturing of attachments for excavation and forest machines. We manufacture tree shears and bush cutters that are all tested in actual operating conditions. We manufacture efficient high-quality products that are covered with a proper warranty, which in turn guarantees that our customers can safely trust us. Discover the new S-series by JAK Tree Shears, a powerful and versatile range of saw grapples designed for tree felling, cutting, and timber handling! Built for demanding professional applications, the S-series excels at roadside clearing, construction site land clearing, and processing timber on the ground.
The lineup features a hydraulic 360-degree rotation system that makes positioning at the cutting point precise and effortless. Thanks to electro-hydraulic control, all functions operate using a single double-acting hydraulic circuit. Standard felling support and three-finger jaws ensure a firm grip on the tree and guided control throughout the felling process, while automatic chain lubrication and manual chain tensioning keep saw maintenance straightforward.
The series includes three models tailored to fit a wide range of carrier sizes. The JAK-350S is designed for 4 to 8 ton excavators with a 350 mm cutting capacity. For medium-sized machines, the JAK-400S suits 8 to 12 ton excavators with a 400 mm cutting capacity. For heavy-duty operations, the JAK-550S covers 12 to 25 ton excavators with an impressive 550 mm cutting capacity.

JAK's product lineup is expanding with seven new additions!
The new S-Series introduces grapple saws for 4–25 tonne excavators across three size classes, while the R- and C-Series of tree shears are complemented by the larger JAK-400R and JAK-500C models.
Meanwhile, the new LogRunner GS38 and MGS40 bring integrated sawing capabilities to timber handling with tractor forestry cranes, forest machines, and truck-mounted cranes.
