Asha Therapeutics is looking to test the therapeutic activity of their novel SARM1 inhibitor as a potential treatment option for CMT2A. CMT2A is caused by mutations in the MFN2 gene, leading to mitochondrial dysfunction and nerve degeneration. Prior studies have shown that genetic removal of SARM1, a key driver in nerve degeneration, prevents disease in CMT2A animals.

Oggi è la , un’occasione per dare voce a chi affronta ogni giorno sfide difficili e troppo spesso invisibili.

Per questo, abbiamo intervistato nuovamente Roberto Russo, che da anni è al nostro fianco nella lotta contro la Charcot-Marie-Tooth 2A, la rara patologia di cui è affetta sua figlia Gaia, impegnandosi senza sosta per sostenere la ricerca e sensibilizzare quante più persone possibili.

La sua forte determinazione è per tutti un esempio e, recentemente in occasione del concorso "Aretino dell'anno" promosso dal Corriere di Arezzo, ha fatto incrociare la sua strada con il 1° classificato: Andrea Bindi, vigile del fuoco per lavoro e poeta per passione. Colpito dalla sua storia, Andrea ha deciso di dedicare a Gaia la serata di presentazione del suo nuovo libro, "Inquieto Vivere", trasformandola in un evento benefico.

📅 L’appuntamento è per domenica 9 marzo, alle ore 17:30, presso il Centro di Aggregazione Sociale di Tortaia (Arezzo).

Sarà una serata all’insegna di musica, poesia e solidarietà, in cui arte e impegno si uniranno per sostenere la ricerca del nostro "Centro Dino Ferrari" e dare speranza a chi convive con questa malattia.
