🧪 How to Know If a Product Is Truly Non-Comedogenic
✅ 1. Check the Ingredient List (INCI)
Avoid high-risk pore-cloggers in the first 5 ingredients, such as:
* Coconut oil
* Cocoa butter
* Isopropyl myristate
* Isopropyl palmitate
* Wheat germ oil
Small amounts at the bottom are usually fine.

✅ 2. Look at the Texture
Generally safer for clogged pores:
* Light gels
* Water-based serums
* Fluid lotions
Higher risk:
* Thick balms
* Heavy butters
* Occlusive waxes

✅ 3. Ignore the “Comedogenic Rating” Charts Online
Those are:
* Based on rabbit ear tests (outdated)
* Not reflective of modern formulations
* Misleading without concentration context
Focus on full formula balance instead.

✅ 4. Check for These Words
Good signs:
* “Oil-free”
* “Non-comedogenic”
* “Dermatologist tested”
* “Gel” or “lightweight”
But still verify ingredients.

A product can be labeled “non-comedogenic” and still clog pores, especially if you have a 10 step routine! The objective is to have minimum but efficient products as a layering routine may have secondary effects.
