There is no age limit for studying… or for sitting exams! 😄

Yesterday I took the European Board of Hand Surgery (EBHS) examination, several years after passing the French equivalent. Going back to an exam setting after all this time was a challenge in itself.

As English is not my first language, the exam came with an extra challenge. But the biggest one was stepping outside my comfort zone.

While my practice is mainly focused on wrist and hand surgery, the EBHS encompasses the full spectrum of the specialty, from pediatric and congenital conditions to spasticity and complex peripheral nerve surgery.

Preparing for the exam was demanding but incredibly rewarding. It gave me the opportunity to broaden my perspective, revisit less familiar topics, and reminded me that learning and professional growth continue throughout our careers.

LIFELONG LEARNING KEEPS US MOVING FORWARD. 📚

Congratulations to the Examination Committee, especially Chairman Lindsay Muir and Zaf Naqui General Secretary of the FESSH for the impeccable organization of the examination.

🇬🇧 Delighted to be speaking for the orthopaedic Algerian association .ass with my colleague .taleb_wrist on Scapholunate Instability and the current state of consensus.

A challenging topic in wrist surgery that continues to evolve and fuel debate. Today’s consensus may be tomorrow’s controversy! 😉🔍

Many thanks to my friend Ahmed el hassen Maiza and to the dynamic AOCASS team for the invitation. 🙏

Attending the ASSH 2025 in Vancouver 🇨🇦 was, once again, an extraordinary and unforgettable experience ✨

The week began with the ASSH–IWAS pre-course 🎓, which was truly exceptional — a remarkable success with impressive organization ✅
It perfectly showcased the high level of collaboration and innovation in wrist arthroscopy worldwide 🌍🩺

The main congress confirmed why ASSH is so unique: beyond its scientific excellence 📚, it offers a rich, human, inclusive, and open environment 🤝 where colleagues from across the globe can connect, exchange ideas, and learn from one another 💡

I personally learned a great deal 📖, both scientifically and clinically, and I was also genuinely happy to reunite with dear friends ❤️

Together with my colleague Lorenzo Merlini, we were very proud to represent IWC Paris and the Institut de la Main Paris 🇫🇷 on this international stage 🌐

I am especially grateful to Dr. Sanj Kakar 🙏 for involving me in sessions dedicated to wrist arthroscopy, and I warmly congratulate him 👏 for his outstanding efforts to promote this field in the United States and worldwide 🌎

My sincere thanks also go to Youssra Marjoua and Pedro Delgado for their kind invitations 📩, and to all my other colleagues for their valuable collaboration 🤗

Since becoming an International Member of ASSH 🌟, each edition has become even more meaningful and enriching for me.

I look forward to next year in Boston 🗓️🏙️, for another participation that I hope will be just as inspiring!

International Wrist Centers -Clinique Du Poignet Paris
I had the pleasure and the immense honor to participate as a faculty in the advanced wrist arthroscopy course at IRCAD Taiwan , among the Masters of Wrist Surgery on November 13 and 14 , 2024. More than just a course, it was a lesson in humility and humanity with the « Monsters » of wrist arthroscopy, who simply and without moderation share their knowledge. As always, I learned as much as I taught. Priceless moments.
I also had the opportunity to see again many friends at the APWA meeting in Taipei and meet new ones. I loved the quality and the joyful atmosphere of this congress, especially the songs and the music ☺️
Thank you all for these unforgettable moments, and of course many thanks to , my mentor, who continuously pushes his team and makes us move forward no matter what…
Many thanks to , Sara Lin Dorothy Wang and Apwa team for the warm welcome !
3 first experiences in one : My first IRCAD IWC Taiwan course / My first APWA / my first time in Taiwan🫰🫰🫰☺️
To the international wrist family: see you soon in Strasbourg and/or Madrid in February and/or Washington in March. I look forward to more moments of teaching, brainstorming and friendship.
