Summer with Tayshaba
I remember the old yellow taxis of Khartoum, Sudan.
Driving over bumpy roads, crossing the Nile, the sun always shone.
The driver always had a story to tell.
I used to stretch my hand out of the window, convinced I could catch the sunlight.
In Arabic, Asfar has two meanings: yellow and travels.
Asfar A Way, a tuberose scent that bottles the warmth of the sun.
