Mexico City is where I grew up.
My father is French, my mother is Mexican, and I spent my childhood moving between two cultures, two languages, two worlds. But Mexico was home.

In 2000, when I was a teenager, we moved back to France. I remember leaving with a pain I couldn’t quite put into words and a promise I never said out loud: I’ll come back.

For years, Mexico remained a place I carried inside me. In the way I see beauty. In the importance I give to rituals. In my love for nature, craftsmanship, slow moments, and things that feel real.

It’s impossible to separate who I am from what Mexico gave me.

And it’s impossible to separate who I am from ROWSE.

So coming back 26 years later, not as a visitor but through the project of my heart, feels deeply emotional. The 13 year-old girl who left would never have imagined this.

What makes it even more special is that I’ll be doing it with Nuria. ROWSE is the meeting point of our two stories, our two sensibilities, our shared vision of beauty. Bringing her to the city that shaped me feels like bringing two parts of my life together.
