⭐Overnight Crane Assembly – Hirwaun (Trewaun)
As part of the ongoing construction of the A465, we will soon be installing concrete bridge beams onto the newly constructed bridge abutments near to Hirwaun (Trewaun).
In the early hours of Tuesday 5 April 2022, a 750t crane will be arriving on site and from 04:00 the crane will begin to be assembled for use later in the day. This work is considered to be reasonably quiet and should not disturb you, we will be noise monitoring throughout the process.
The installation of the bridge beams will continue over the following few days and will only take place during normal operating hours. The beams will be transported to the lifting area between 09:30 and 15:30 on these days. To assist with this operation Stop/Go boards will be used intermittently between the Hirwaun (Trewaun) and Rhigos roundabouts.
