I'm in there somewhere changing her makeup on location, too. Being a mobile makeup artist isn't for the weak of heart (or any other muscle tbh!), but it sure is fun 😄

(First) Outfit reveal!!! This witchy glam looks so natural on 𝔍𝔞𝔰𝔪𝔦𝔫𝔢 𝔖𝔲𝔰𝔞𝔫✨ doesn't it? It's so cool how different people's faces can "handle" different levels and styles of makeup 😍

Being a makeup artist means you have to be able to cater to that, as well as what your client asks for ☺️ for me, that's one of the perks of the job!

I love being a mobile makeup artist because we did this makeup in Brechin on one of the most beautiful days and changed the look halfway through the photoshoot on location!

I love changing whatever the client wishes and I truly want to work with them to achieve whatever their vision is. That's why trials are so important!

Makeup is a process,one that's a joy to go through for me ❤️

A bridal trial for the beautiful Marissa ❤️ more of my life has been spent knowing her than not and having the trust to trial her makeup for such a special day that she is investing huge amounts of time and effort into means the world to me 🥹

She asked for something soft and romantic, that was sculpted and glowed without being shiny. We went for this elegant glam and while she loved it, it also gave us a much clearer idea of what she wanted for the actual day!

Much like wedding outfit trials, this is why bridal makeup trials are so important; you get to play around and find out what exactly you want and what suits you, and you often end up also discovering you're open to things you never expected! For example, at first I put on a deep shimmering brown on her lids (seen in slide 5) but we decided to go for the lighter eye you see in the other pictures.

Marissa is generally against pinks, going for warm browns, reds, and oranges. Yet, after this trial she was sending me inspo of pink makeup looks 🤭 she still isn't sure exactly what she wants for her wedding makeup, but we'll be having more goes at it, so it's not an issue at all 🤗

What she loved: the skin, the placements, the shape of the eye makeup.

What she wants to play more with: a sharper eye, maybe more intense eyeliner, various false lashes, and maybe even a totally different look!

Still not over this glam!

Sahira has oily skin so she wanted matte skin but didn't want to sacrifice dimension. We went for a soft smokey eye and some reddish tones to match her top 🫶🏽

My mom's a very easygoing person, but she's also extremely particular about what kind of makeup she wants whenever I do it for her. On a day-to-day basis, she's an eyeliner and BB cream kind of gal, so whenever I do her makeup, her favourite thing to say is "not too much".

So, here's a gorgeous glam on mature skin, glowy in all the right places and matte in all the right places, dimensional without being overdone, elevated and elegant.

As a makeup artist, it's important to take into account each person's particular tastes and also the makeup culture they live in/experience, because there are so very many 😊
