We’ve answered some of the most common questions about the EMS Ultra Tesla Seat, including pregnancy, postpartum recovery, breastfeeding and when results can be expected.

“Can I use the seat while pregnant”

No, EMS pelvic floor chairs should not be used during pregnancy.

The strong electromagnetic stimulation causes repeated supramaximal pelvic floor contractions, and there is insufficient safety data in pregnancy. Pregnancy is generally considered a contraindication for these devices.

“How soon after giving birth can I use the seat”

• Natural Birth: usually from 6 weeks postpartum, after clearance at the postnatal check.
• Caesarean section: usually 8–12 weeks postpartum, depending on healing and medical clearance.

If there was significant perineal trauma, third/fourth-degree tear, infection, or complications, I’d wait for approval from the woman’s healthcare professional first.

“Can I use the EMS Ultra Tesla while breastfeeding”

Yes, it can generally be used while breastfeeding.

The electromagnetic field is localised to the pelvic floor and does not affect breast milk production or quality. There is no known reason why breastfeeding alone would prevent treatment.

“How quickly can the results be seen?”

This is where the chair performs very well.

Most people notice:

• Better awareness of their pelvic floor after 1–2 sessions
• Improved muscle control and strength after 3–6 sessions
• Noticeable improvement in bladder control, urgency, or confidence after 6–8 sessions
• Full results are typically assessed after a course of 8–12 treatments
