Camden’s House Beauty is officially open!!

It gives me such pleasure to finally say this — our Beauty Department is officially open.

From the beginning, I’ve wanted Camden’s House to become somewhere that can support you through different stages of your journey — health, beauty and, in time, medical care — all under one roof.

When I started planning our beauty department, I knew I didn’t want to create another traditional beauty salon. My aim was to bring some of the world-class technologies you would normally expect to find in leading clinics in London and other major cities here to Aberdeen — and make these treatments more accessible, without compromising on the technology, training or standard of care.

Beauty is actually where my own career started. I trained as a beautician in London, and I’ve always been fascinated by high-end treatments — particularly treatments that actually do something. Technologies that work beneath the surface, improve the quality of the skin and create changes that build over time.

We’ve also been incredibly lucky with the team we’ve built. Our new Beauty Department is being led by someone with 20 years of experience in the industry, and tomorrow we’ll introduce her properly — along with the rest of our amazing new team. ❤️

We currently have six advanced technologies within Camden’s House Beauty, and over the next few days and weeks we’ll start introducing each of them, explaining what they do, who they’re for and why we chose them.

And this is only the beginning…

When Camden’s House moves into our much larger premises, our vision grows again — with further departments planned across advanced beauty, lasers, medical services, regenerative treatments and spa & wellness.

Our ambition is to build something genuinely special here in the North East — a destination known for exceptional technology, exceptional people and treatments chosen because they can make a real difference.

Let’s talk about pelvic floor health.

Pelvic floor problems can affect people at different stages of life and for lots of different reasons. Pregnancy and childbirth are probably the ones we hear about most, but exercise, ageing, menopause, chronic coughing, constipation and straining can all play a part too. And yes, men have a pelvic floor too.

Symptoms like leaking when you cough, sneeze or exercise, sudden urgency or a feeling of heaviness are common, but that doesn’t mean they’re something you should simply put up with.

For Pelvic Floor Awareness Month, we want to get more people talking about what the pelvic floor actually does, why looking after it matters and some of the signs worth paying attention to.

And over the next few weeks, we’ll also be talking more about our EMS Ultra Tesla Seat and how it can be used to support pelvic floor muscle training at Camden’s House.

We get asked all the time, “Can I try it before I sign up?” So this Wednesday, the answer is yes 👀 🤍

We’ve decided to open up a few spaces this Wednesday the 19th of August for anyone who’s been curious about our treatments or memberships but hasn’t known where to start.

We’ll be offering free 20-minute trial slots throughout the day for:

• Pelvic Floor EMS Seat
• Red Light Therapy
• RollerShape & Vibrashape
• Lymphatic Drainage

Whether there’s a treatment you’ve been curious about, you’re not sure where to start, or you simply have questions about our memberships, come in and have a chat with us and give something a try.

Meet the team — Allana

I genuinely love the science behind advanced health treatments and seeing the results different technologies can achieve. It’s become a bit of an obsession of mine, and I could happily chat about it all day, which is actually what brought me to Camden’s House in the first place!

My background is in Health & Safety within the oil and gas industry, amongst a few other things over the years, so Camden’s House might seem like a bit of a change. But health has always been something I’m really interested in, so getting to learn about all the different treatments and technologies here feels very me.

I’m also a complete chatterbox and love meeting new people, so if you’ve already met me at reception, you’ll probably know that! I love hearing people’s stories and finding out what brought them to Camden’s House.

Outside of work, I’m a mum to two teenagers and three dogs. I also recently got married! When I’m not working or in mum mode, I love animals, cooking good food and, apparently, spending my spare time doing laundry... football kits in particular 😂 Glamorous, I know.

I’m really happy to be part of the Camden’s House team and especially excited to keep learning more about the treatments we offer. And if you ever want to know how one of our machines works, come and find me... just be prepared that it might turn into a longer chat than you planned.
