Aberdeen hairdresser Kara Welsh gets dream chance at Paris Fashion Week Kara Welsh, a former Torry Academy pupil, started working in a hair salon at the age of 14. Today she's in demand at fashion shows across the world.

I am SO EXCITED to announce I am moving salon to ! 🍾✨

I can’t wait to welcome all my clients into the beautiful salon in the west end of the city centre of Aberdeen as of January!

I will still be 100% self employed at my new hair home Bloom starting from the new year.

All appointments will remain exactly the same as currently scheduled, just from the my new location of Bloom at 24 Rose Street starting from January 7th. I will message all clients individually prior to the move 🫶🏼

I will continue to use and stock all the same colour and products that I have currently been using, all of our favourites ❤️

I will miss my Blossom girls but I am excited for a new change in the new year!

If anyone has any questions about the move, please don’t hesitate to ask, I know you will love the salon just as much as I do!

This was my first time doing MacKenzies hair & what an absolute treat it was 🫶🏼

All inspo photos she liked were dimensional bright blondes, so I decided to really break up what was already there ⬇️

✨ A fresh bright but fine face frame to add an extra pop of dimension round the perimeter of her hair

✨ Lots of multitonal lowlights to really cut through and break up the build up of blonde on the ends

✨ Babylights of lightner feathered up to the root every 2-3 lowlights

✨ 2 different depths of lowlight to add lots of dimension but keep the blend natural

✨ Soft toner to take the edge off any warmer areas to freshen up the colour and create a cream whip blonde 🍦

Steph wanted to go for the Calico trend, but keep the colours underneath her blonde for a more subtle and natural look 🧡

This way she can enjoy the calico colours while still being subtle enough for her new job 🐯
