😭💕😍such an amazing amount raised 🤩 👏🏽

We are beyond thrilled to share the fundraising total from The Archie Foundation Variety Show 2026!🥁

An incredible £26,463 has been raised, with every single penny going directly towards supporting babies, children and families, just like those who have been part of our very special show. 👏

The Variety Show has created connection, friendships and confidence and we couldn't be prouder of everything it has achieved. To top it all off, this incredible fundraising total, made possible by our talented acts, generous sponsors and you, our wider community, is the perfect finale.

For now, the curtains are closing on the Variety Show... Until they rise again. ✨

With special thanks again to:
Phil Anderson Financial Services Ltd., The Wee Hive, FCS Group, The Balmoral Bar, The Tivoli Theatre, Vivid Horizon, AirHop Adventure & Trampoline Park Aberdeen

Bunker down Experimental Media & Performance 🎭 doing hair (wig cut & application) & makeup on the talented Christine Ellison The makeup brief for her character was human android with a more flawless looking filter look rather than robotic android with a hint of plastic mannequin looking makeup which worked so well with the mood and setting in the bunker. It was just perfect and worked so well for the performance they done 👏🏽

Looking forward to doing the makeup for one of the performers for tonight’s Bunker down experimental & Performance 🎭

We’re excited to be hosting BUNKER DOWN! on Friday 25th and Saturday 26th September.

This is a rare opportunity to wander and hang out in the bunker, which will be taken over by experimental art installations, films, and live performances. There will also be a bar hosted by Jonney from the Harbour Bar, Gourdon.

Entry is by timed ticket — more info and tickets here:
https://bit.ly/4gscSfZ

Friday evening — 18:00–21:00
Saturday morning — 11:00 and 11:30 entry (until 13:00)
Saturday afternoon — 14:00 and 14:30 entry (until 16:00)
Saturday evening — 18:00–21:00

During these uncertain times, Bunker Down! invites audiences to engage with the work of a dynamic group of UK-based and international artists working with film and video, electronic music, sound art, performance, virtual reality, video games, photography, and other experimental creative practices.

We invite the audience to join us in a temporary place to shelter, reflect, stimulate conversations, and engage with a diversity of live performances and artists’ installations in the various rooms and corridors within the confines of Bervie Brow Research Station.

Artists and performers include: Biome Collective, Jon Blackwood, John Butler, Joseph DeLappe, Zhiyang Ding, Gair Dunlop, Christine Ellison & Jim McEwan, Victoria Evans, Beverley Hood, Etsuko Ichikawa, Ecem Ince, Laura Leuzzi, Adam Lockhart, Hadi Mehrpouya & Rhizoma, Christos Michalakos & Dimitris Papageorgiou, Jay Needham, Nic Pekonnen, Emile Shemilt, Stephen Skrynka, IRVINE & SPENCE, Sara Stroud, Louise K Wilson, Michelle Woolley, and Maja Zećo.

Highlights include:

* Real Life — a new collaboration between Glasgow-based performance artist Christine Ellison and audiovisual composer and designer Jim McEwan.
* Requiem in -6°- — a new electronic music performance by Edinburgh’s Christos Michalakos & Dimitris Papageorgiou, sonorising the iconic blast tunnel to the bunker.
* Defend and Protect — Aberdeen artist Maja Zećo’s installation and walking performance in a heavy suit filled with soil, emitting sounds of military drones.
* Sound Globes — a performance and installation by Northampton artist Michelle Woolley, developed during a Bervie Brow residency.

Filming day creating a SFX Hand burn on the talented cammyfulton can’t tell you anymore than that, but it was so much fun to do and the best part for cammy was getting the satisfaction of pealing it all off at the end of it all 😂
