As of 19th July it's been 3 years I've been qualified as a massage therapist 💆🏼

I remembered recently how excited I was when I got into collage. When I was younger I never thought this is where I would end up but I couldn't be happier with where I am.

I struggled a lot with purpose when I was younger which lead to a long period of battling with mental health.

When I found out I was going to start collage after a few failed paths I was so excited, I rushed to learn everything I could about massage so I could get the best start possible.

I can say in many ways massage has saved my life, it came at a very important time for me when things could have gone in any direction. But through giving me hope, passion and purpose getting into this career has turned things around for me more than I could have ever imagined.

Now every day I see how what I do is able to help people wether it be to simply relax and unwind or genuinely be able to help my clients with more serious pain and chronic conditions. Being able to make a positive impact on others lives is what has kept me going. Especially since starting up self employed things haven't been easy at all but it has all been worth it to get to where I am now.

My love for what I do is as strong as ever and I never want to stop learning and improving because there is always more to know.

Recently my massage practice has been so busy to the point my diary has been full pretty much every day I've been working the past couple months which is amazing obviously but has led to some feelings of the initial stages of burnout.

That's why this past week I took off Monday - Friday to really think about how I want my work and life mix to be and I've decided I am going to trial some 4 day work weeks over the summer and see how that goes.

My goal is to always provide the best treatments possible so I am grateful for everyone barring with me while I figure out the balance that works for me so I can always ensure the best quality treatments and avoid burnout wherever possible.
