If you’re in Manchester (or willing to travel) and ready to embrace your greys!!.. and are happy to spend the day with me 😋
I am looking for someone to showcases my Grey Blending techniques on at Haircon at Victoria Warehouse on Sunday the 14th of June from 9.30 am until roughly mid afternoon.
Preferably a few months of root regrowth and hair at least shoulder length or longer. Preferably light/medium brown or blonde ends, anything darker (no box dye) may not work with in my allocated time.
Haircon is a hairdressers trade show, I won’t be doing your hair on stage but it will be at the booth meaning as I work hairdressers will be walking by and looking at what I am doing so you need to be comfortable with this plus videos and pictures being taken.
If your interested please dm me including well lit (doesn’t need to be styled) pics of your hair!
If your in and around Manchester please share & If you know someone jn Manchester that might be interested please tag them!
Tag someone who’s been thinking about box dying 👀
This sh*t is stubborn, I completely understand how expensive life is these days but the reality is it’s cheap until it’s not.. until you fancy a change, there is no quick fix..
Grey Blending Warning ‼️ Your client might feel darker… and that’s exactly why consultation matter..
If your client’s natural root is less than 50% grey, but their ends are blonde or warm brunette, there’s a good chance they’ll feel darker after their appointment.
Why?
Because grey blending isn’t just about (going lighter) creating more salt. It’s about the pepper too.
Yes, we lighten where we want to see those pops of silver, but everything else needs to be toned back towards the natural pepper in the root.
And here’s the important part…
Even on the same level, ash looks darker than warmth because it reflects light differently.
So when we remove warmth and add ash, the overall result can feel darker.
Reason 857 why consultation matters 👀

MAY have unlocked a new level of happiness 👀😝
Please STOP saying this to your single mum friends 🫶🏽❤️“OMG, I could never do that.”
It’s such a small sentence, and I know it’s never meant with bad intentions, but it’s the one that hurts the most.
Because it makes it sound like I had a choice, like us single parents chose this life..
Like I should have tried harder.
Like I chose this.
Like I willingly picked a life where I don’t get to see my child every morning and every night.
The truth is, most of us never thought we could do it either.
We never imagined learning to co-parent (wether is the odd weekend of 50/50) when all we wanted was our family together. We never imagined having to hand our children over and somehow carry on with our day.
And yes, it hurts. Every. Single. Time.
But when life gives you something you never wanted, you only have two choices: let it break you, or learn how to find joy anyway.
That doesn’t happen overnight. For me, it’s taken therapy, panic attacks, tears, growth, and a lot of work to get to a place where I can finally say: I’ll be okay.
More importantly, my son is okay.
He’s happy, loved, thriving, and at the end of the day, that’s what matters most.
So when people say, “I could never do that,” I understand what they mean.
Please remember.. But neither could we.
Until we had to.
And somehow, we did. We are❤️
Fight me in the comments, but lifting isn’t the most important part of this service… toning it back down is 😅
Yes, the lift matters. But when you’re working on a canvas this uneven, formulation is what gets your client to the final result she actually wants.
And THIS is the part that scares a lot of hairdressers 👀
The “pepper.”
People panic it’s gonna go too dark, too blue, too muddy, too flat… but if you don’t put the depth back in, you don’t get that believable steel grey blend.
The red ends were sitting around a level 5, so I used a mix of 5-1 + 7-1 to neutralise the warmth and create that cooler steel tone.
Now that yellow band? Completely different story.
If I’d slapped the exact same formula on there, there was a high chance it would’ve grabbed differently and gone an ugly, flat grey. Because colour theory matters. Blue neutralises orange/red… not yellow.
So for that section I used 5-1 + 7.-01, then added a DASH of 6-34 👀
Yep. Copper gold.
Essentially pre-filling whilst depositing at the same time. Adding just enough warmth back in to stabilise all that ash going onto a very light canvas.
I’m not trying to create two different “peppers”… I’m trying to create the SAME end result on two completely different canvases.

Using
🚫 The honest reality of removing black box dye‼️
Stop being scared of the undertone (RED) you haven’t done anything wrong.
I was able to use bleach and 20 firstly globally and then in foils where I wanted my salt to be because the condition of my clients hair was strong 💪🏽 but please take this into consideration and be mindful.
Using gloss toners ⬇️
Pepper formula 1 ( for the red/orange band)
5-1 7-1
Pepper formula 2 (for the light yellow band)
5-1 7-01 & 6-34 (just a drop to fill)
Salt formula
10-01
For upcoming grey blending classes including 1-1 dm me.
