Curly Hair Care Tips

Curls are beautiful, but they do need a little extra love to stay healthy, defined, and frizz-free. Here are some simple tips to help you care for your curls properly

Hydration is everything
Curly hair tends to be drier, so using a good moisturising shampoo and conditioner is key. Deep conditioning once a week can make a big difference.

Don’t brush dry curls!
Always brush when your hair is wet (or damp)
Use a wide-tooth comb or your fingers to avoid breakage.

Say no to over-washing
Washing your hair too often can strip natural oils. Try 1–3 times a week depending on your hair type and between days just damp hair down to freshen up

Find the right products
Curl creams, serums or leave-in conditioners help define your natural pattern and reduce frizz. Apply to wet hair for best results.

Be mindful of heat
Too much heat can damage curl patterns. If you do use heat, always apply a heat protector, a diffuser on your hairdryer will also help the curls but air drying is best, also after washing don’t rub hair frantically with a towel, take the time to squeeze and scrunch the water out

Little tip for my blondies 💡
Using a purple/toning shampoo at home helps keep your blonde fresh and stops it going brassy between appointments. Just 1–2 times a week makes a huge difference!
