After 10 incredible years of doing nails, the time has finally come for me to officially step away from offering nail appointments.

Many of you have heard me say over the last few years that this day would eventually come, so I know it won’t be a complete surprise. It has never been an easy decision because nails have been such a huge part of my life and the foundation of my business.

The truth is, I’ve been incredibly busy for a long time and somewhere along the way my work-life balance disappeared. My body has been telling me for a while that something needed to change. Many of my regular clients have seen me working through pain with my hands, wrists and back, and I’ve realised that I can’t keep pushing through forever. I want to be able to enjoy life outside of work as well as continue doing the treatments I truly love.

Before I even think about taking a proper day off, I’ll be spending the next few weeks intensively training Claire and Olivia so they’ll be fully prepared to take over nail services from September. They are both dedicated, talented and excited to look after you all, and I know you’ll make them feel so welcome.

This isn’t goodbye to the salon or to me! I’ll still be here, just focusing entirely on permanent makeup, medical tattooing and tattoo removal - allowing me to give those treatments my full attention while finally creating a healthier balance in my own life.

To every single nail client who has trusted me over the past decade…thank you. You’ve supported me through so many chapters of my life, shared laughs, tears, celebrations and endless cups of coffee. Many of you have become friends, and I’ll always be grateful for the memories we’ve made together.

I hope you’ll continue supporting DAFFORNE by booking your nail appointments with Megan, Amy and also Claire and Olivia from September onwards. I couldn’t ask for a better team of ladies to continue looking after you.

We’re so excited to officially welcome Claire Evans to the Dafforne team 💅

Claire will be joining us from next Wednesday, 3rd June, offering nail appointments at the studio.

She’s definitely not new to the nail industry - many of you may already know Claire, or know of her, as a local Aberystwyth girl with years of experience in the beauty world. After spending years working as a high-end make-up artist, she’s now making her return to what she truly loves… nails ✨
