Lavender fragrances you should know about ✨

Lavender is one of the most familiar, recognisable and well known notes in perfumery, but it has definitely gained a reputation for being a ‘grandma scent’, something purely feminine or the scent of soap, and not necessarily the clean, airy soapy scent trend.

But lavender is much more than that, with a place in aromatherapy, gastronomy, wellness and of course, fragrance, and in my opinion, has absolutely no gender, no age and is much more impactful that just smelling soapy. It has many facets, a broad versatility in composition and a very long history and heritage.

I say try not buy immediately because you might not like them, they may not suit your preferences, work well with your skin or maybe one will remind you of your ex.

Trying before you buy is SO important with perfumery, for something so personal and so much a part of your character, the experience of discovery as much a part of it.

These to me each capture part of autumn, whether it’s the change in temperature making me crave warmer scents, my mood and emotions being drawn to something comforting or inspiring, the colours and textures calling for spices, smoky woods and leathery notes.
