I thought I’d take a moment to share a little about me 🤍

Growing up, I never imagined I’d become a massage therapist. I always thought I’d be a vet, work with dogs, join the army, or become a therapist to help people facing homelessness or addiction. But life doesn’t always take you where you expect it to…

It all started with a little summer job in a lovely salon in Downton, where I worked on reception and helped out behind the scenes. I absolutely loved it! The therapists had me laughing constantly, and I became so interested in the treatments they were doing.

That led me to study Beauty Therapy at Salisbury College, where I met some amazing people. In my final year, I became a mum to Harry—and even massaging at 9 months pregnant, I was determined to finish my qualifications 💪

After Harry was born, I briefly trained in hairdressing (which gave me a whole new respect for hairdressers… but wasn’t for me!). I did, however, meet one of my best friends along the way 💕

Over the years, I worked in a few salons and a beautiful spa in Salisbury, before taking time out to live in Cyprus with Harry’s dad and the military. It was such a special time—sunshine, beaches, and a slower pace of life. Our family grew during this time too, with our youngest son due Arlo , and our dog Rocco joining us 🐾

When we returned home to Amesbury, I decided to take a big step and start my own business from a little summer house in my garden. It was a huge leap for me, especially with anxiety and confidence struggles—but I was determined.

Not long after opening… COVID hit! Like many others, I had to close and became a full-time mum and teacher at home to a toddler and 7 year old. But looking back, that time with my boys was truly special 🤍

I reopened on 12th April 2021, and that’s when my dream really began. My wonderful clients returned, supported me, and helped my little business grow through word of mouth. I honestly couldn’t be more grateful.

My clients mean the world to me—I often say you’re like a second family. Seeing generations of the same families come through my door is something really special 🥰

Life looks a little different now—I’m a proud single mum to my boys, Harry (13), Arlo (7), and our fur baby Rocco 🐶 The salon has grown and changed over the years (it gets a little makeover most summers!), and I love creating a space you all feel comfortable in.

To every single client—new, regular, or occasional—thank you. I’ve loved getting to know you all, hearing about your lives, and helping you feel your best… even if you sometimes love me and hate me when I find those sore spots! 😅

🌸 A little bit about me… 🌸
Hi lovelies! I’m Rachel owner of Beauty Blossoms by Rachel and I’ve been lucky enough to own my beautiful little solo salon for the past 5 years (and qualified in beauty therapy for 13 years!).

My journey started 14 years ago when I was working reception in a tiny salon in town just to earn a bit of extra cash… and I completely fell in love with the industry.

I went on to study 3 years of Beauty Therapy at Salisbury College and never looked back! 🥰
I’m also a very proud mum to my two little superheroes, Harry and Arlo, who keep me on my toes outside of work.

What means the most to me? YOU. Every single client …whether you’ve been coming since day one or you’ve just found me …you make me love what I do. Supporting a small, independent salon means the absolute world, and honestly, you’re not just clients… you’re like my second family. 🫶
