FILTER vs REAL SKIN ✨

No hate whatsoever to anyone who uses filters. I used them for years. In fact, there was a time when I genuinely wouldn’t post a photo of myself without one.

But now? I actually prefer seeing my skin.

My pores. My texture. The odd blemish. The little lines and imperfections that make my face look like… well, my face. 🤎

These photos were taken at the same time, but look at the difference a filter makes. It doesn’t just smooth the skin. It can change your face shape, lips, nose, eyes, complexion and proportions.

And when we constantly see ourselves through that version, it’s so easy to start believing our normal, unfiltered face needs “fixing”.

Fast forward two years for me, and consistent skincare, professional skin treatments and simply taking better care of my skin have completely changed how I feel about it.

And remember, your skin isn’t just something we make look pretty. It’s the largest organ of the human body, and it deserves looking after. 🧬✨

I’m not aiming for poreless, airbrushed skin anymore because real skin has texture.

My goal is healthy, hydrated, well-cared-for skin that I feel confident showing without a filter.
