Are there any circumstances when massage during pregnancy is avoided?
If you are in your first trimester of are experiencing a high risk pregnancy, then unfortunately massage is best avoided
What's the difference between this and regular massage?
The main difference is the positioning, for pregnancy massage you will lie on your side with plenty of pillows for support! The pressure is adjusted to suit your individual needs.
Will my bump get massaged?
You will be asked before your treatment if you would like your bump massaged, so you can decide for yourself!
What oils are used?
You will be given a choice, plain grape seed oil with no scent or a mother and baby aromatherapy blend containing orange, mandarin & ginger- all perfectly safe during pregnancy!
How soon can I come back once the baby is born?
If you have a delivery without complications you can come back as soon as you feel ready (normally around 4+ weeks) if you've had a caesarean-section you will have to wait 6 weeks. We can adjust the position you lie in and continue to massage laying on your side if preferred
