🖤If you’re going to be with us for a while make sure you’re dressed for comfort, but avoid chunky roll necks and hoodies.

Hello everyone🖤
The face behind the business, me, the tall one with dark hair.
Most of the time I’m behind the chair with either a resting bitch face which is totally unintentional or ugly laughing.
Starting out as a Saturday girl at 14. Awkward, greasy hair and terrible dress sense but somehow I got the job, washing & sweeping hair. I quickly learned that it was more fun to play with hair than clean, so avoided all the jobs I didn’t want to & interrogated the stylists on what they were doing to their clients hair. Always wanting to know “why?”
Fast forward a few years I completed all my training, passed the Toni & Guy education program & built up a massive clientele, most of whom I still look after to this day but in my own salon.
I love to travel, so limited annual leave & set working hours simply didn’t fit my lifestyle. I needed freedom. So SHADE was born. My little salon on the outskirts of the town centre, which we rapidly outgrew despite a lockdown. Cheers Boris!
After a massive renovation, we moved location to the highstreet, gained new team members & now I get to work with my friends everyday & make people feel beautiful, what a win.
Alongside playing with hair, I also love to teach, especially colour. Fully aware that I wouldn’t be as successful as I am without an assistant, I teach my apprentices everything i know, watching them grow from baby stylists into confident amazing stylists is so rewarding, I love it. I even taught one of my best friends how to colour & now she’s running her own business flourishing & absolutely smashing her career, I just love to see it!
I colour, cut & offer extensions so no two days are the same, just the way I like it. I’m disorganised, late for absolutely everything & probably swear a little too much BUT I’m passionate about delivering the best experience for my clients.
Outside of hairdressing my passion is food, cooking food & eating food 🤪I absolutely adore dogs (the salon is dog friendly btw) & coffee runs in my veins. I’m also leaning how to play basketball, as you can imagine I get told of for talking.
