Jordan, one of our sports massage therapists, shared a meaningful experience from early in his career, a reminder of how rehabilitation can be about so much more than physical recovery. He worked with a serving member of the army who needed to complete an important course to maintain his role. After initially struggling due to pain and limited movement, the patient returned a few months later, determined to try again with more time to prepare. They built a structured, progressive plan, working weekly, then gradually spacing sessions as confidence and mobility improved. By the time the course came around, he felt stronger, more capable and ready. He not only completed the course, but earned a promotion. For Jordan, it was a pivotal moment. We’re passionate about helping people move better, feel stronger and regain confidence in their everyday lives. Jordan, one of our sports massage therapists, recently reflected on a meaningful experience with a patient struggling with severe sciatic pain. Long hours at a desk and a shift to a less active job had left him with restricted movement and significant discomfort, impacting both work and daily life. Through a series of tailored sessions, hands-on treatment and practical lifestyle adjustments, the patient steadily regained mobility, confidence and eventually became pain-free. Jordan even supported him in securing a more suitable workstation setup to prevent the problem from returning. Hearing how much the treatment helped, and reading the thoughtful review that followed, was a proud moment that reinforced something important. Alongside osteopathy and acupuncture, Jolene also provides phlebotomy, offering a convenient option for those who want to order and understand their own blood tests or are struggling to get the appointments they need elsewhere. She also brings her background as a yoga instructor into her clinical work. While she’s no longer running regular classes, Jolene still offers occasional 1:1 sessions and uses yoga-based exercises, breathing work and mindful movement within her treatment plans. It’s all part of our holistic approach, understanding the root cause of what’s going on, not just treating the symptoms, and supporting both the mind and body on the journey back to balance.
