❗️£35–£40 for a full set sounds like a lot… until you actually run a nail business. 💅🏽

My maximum price is £35–£40 for a full set.

And although that might look like £35–£40 going straight into my pocket, it really doesn’t.

Let’s break it down.

💅🏽 Full set: £40

🧴 Acrylic/gel, primer, dehydrator, files, buffers & other products: £10-£18

🧻 Gloves, wipes, towels & sanitation supplies: £4-£8

💡 Electricity, water & workspace costs: £5-£10

🛠️ Equipment, nail lamp, e-file, brushes & replacements: £2-£10

So before I’ve even paid myself, a portion of that £40 has already disappeared.

And then there’s my time.

A full set can take 2–3 hours, sometimes longer depending on the design, length and condition of the natural nails.

But my working day doesn’t start when the client sits down.

I’m also:

📱 Answering messages
📅 Managing appointments
🛒 Ordering stock
🧹 Cleaning & disinfecting
📸 Taking photos
🎥 Creating content
📲 Posting to social media
💬 Answering questions
📚 Practising & improving my skills

So when someone sees £35–£40 for a set of nails, please don’t think I’m making £35–£40 profit.

YES. Raise your prices when your experience, demand, costs and service justify it.

But let’s also be honest about the nail tech who is still building her clientele.

She’s trying to get her business OFF THE GROUND. 🥹

❌CLIENT NOTICE❌

Hey Everyone!

✨ A little reminder for our salon appointments ✨

To help keep the salon comfortable, calm and enjoyable for everyone, we kindly ask that clients make use of the waiting area when needed to reassure the salon doesn’t feel overwhelming for clients and as well ourselves.

We are also limiting the salon to a maximum of 2 people at a time, unless previously agreed to avoid the salon being overcrowded in a small space.

This is simply to make sure we can give each client the time, attention and experience they deserve, while keeping the salon a relaxed and welcoming space🤎

Thank you so much for your understanding and cooperation! We really appreciate your continued support🫶🏼🤎
