Melanie is officially OFF DUTY! 💃🏻🇮🇹

I’m taking some much-needed time to switch off, recharge, soak up the sunshine and, most importantly, make some amazing memories with the girls! 🥂☀️❤️

I’ll be back in the salon Friday 21st August feeling refreshed and ready to go!

✨ Little Update ✨

Just a little heads-up that I’ll be taking a well-earned break!

I’ll be away from Saturday 15th August at 12pm and will be back on Friday 21st August, feeling refreshed and ready to welcome you all back.

I’m looking forward to some sunshine and quality time away with the girls. ☀️💛

I’d like to thank you all for all the support over my hardest most challenging year.
A year that broke me, exhausted me in ways I never knew were possible
And a year where I finally put myself first.
Closing my business , house renovations and the rest that doesn’t need to be made public
You’re support really does mean the world to me

And just like that it’s the week before Christmas
5 months in star and I’m sure you can see a more relaxed happier version of me this year.
A move over 5 months ago little did I know how relaxed I would be a whole year later.

This week in the salon is extremely busy and salon is open Tuesday - Tuesday
Salon will close Tuesday 23rd December

I return to the salon on 29 th December
I will also be working 30 th December
Then I will be having some well earned time off to recharge the batteries ready for 2026

My next appointments are now Wednesday 7 th January
The first week back there will be no late night appointments with myself and a slight change to my working hours

Replies will be a little slower please call salon instead as I won’t be able to reply straight away

Christmas madness is well and truly under way in star
The girls and myself are back from stobbo and ready for the last few weeks of December
The salon is extremely busy, if you haven’t sorted your appointment please call the salon and we will see what we can do.
Please be mindful that there are temporary traffic lights at the cavalier which are a 3 ways system in place.
I have messages to reply to which I will get
back to everyone when I am back in the salon

Well this has been some ride

14 years 9 months and 22 days later.

I’ve put myself and my health first
And salon owning life has came to an end,
From the wee salon in birkenshaw way to
Halo.

What a time it’s been I’ve laughed and I’ve cried and I’ve done more salon refurbs than any one I know ( thank god there will be no more).
I’m sure my joiner and my dad will be happy 😂

It’s been an absolute honour to have run both salons in my home town where the small town community supports each other.
Im proud of what I have achieved and where I am but more proud to have put myself first.
My personal life went on hold whilst I built up the dream, but now it’s the right time to close the doors.

After Covid the love for salon owning really dipped but no more than it’s dipped in the last few months.

Today halo closed its doors for the very last time.

Thank you to all our clients without all of you I wouldn’t have had this amazing journey.
So I’d like to thank everyone of you from the Krop and co days to the halo days.

The staff who have accompanied me over the years the laughs the bants not to mention my favourite the kitchen chats 😂 thanks for the memories.

My landlords James and Kim for agreeing to let me terminate my lease and for being extremely supportive.
I’ll be forever grateful I hope your next tenants are as sound as me lol.

The salon is now empty and ready for its new owners.

There WILL be a change to banking details so please don’t transfer any payments,
I will confirm bank details at your next appointment
From 2nd July there will be a slight price rise too.

Here’s to new beginnings and I’ll see you all in
STAR from tomorrow.
A great salon with an epic vibe and I can’t wait to join the girls across the road.
