Do you know what…

Some time away has done me the world of good.

Even with the chaos of two children on holiday (I wouldn’t exactly decribe the time away as relaxing!), it’s given me something I didn’t realise I needed… perspective.

I’ve had a mindset shift.
I’m creating healthier boundaries.
I’m leaning into what feels right for me.
I’m focusing on what truly needs my time and energy in this season of life.

Like many parents running businesses, I’m constantly balancing ambition with reality.

Yes, I’m thinking long-term. I’m intentionally building and shaping things now, knowing that when my Pippa starts nursery in September 2027, I’ll have more capacity to accelerate.

But until then?

I’m choosing not to wish this season away.

I’ll be prioritising time with my children, showing up for my businesses in ways that feel sustainable, exploring my entrepreneurial ideas - not ignoring them, having the conversations that light me up, and continuing to invest in my mindset.

Because I’ve realised something…

Success doesn’t have to mean doing everything, all at once.

Sometimes it’s about building patiently, staying connected to who you are, and giving yourself permission to grow at the pace your life allows.

This season isn’t holding me back.

It’s shaping the leader and business owner I’m becoming.

In the meantime, I do have capacity to work 121 with expecting mamas and their birth partners, I’ll be running one monthly The Pregnancy Pause and you may see the odd Group Course pop up - just reach out if you want to find out more šŸ«¶šŸ¼

Second-time mums often tell me they feel guilty for not having the time or headspace to prepare for birth the way they imagined.

The truth is… you’re not starting from scratch. You’re bringing experience, strength and wisdom with you too.

You deserve to feel prepared, supported and excited about birth, even if life is busier this time around.

If you’re pregnant with your second (or third!) baby and want calm, positive and realistic birth preparation that works around family life, my inbox is always open. šŸ«¶šŸ¼

When was the last time you truly paused? šŸ¤

Pregnancy is often filled with appointments, to-do lists, preparations, and advice from every direction. Yet one of the most important things you can do for both yourself and your baby is to slow down and relax.

Taking time to rest isn’t a luxury during pregnancy - it’s a necessity.

When you create moments of calm, you support your emotional wellbeing, help reduce stress hormones, encourage better sleep, and give yourself the opportunity to connect with your growing baby. ✨

That’s exactly what The Pregnancy Pause is all about.

A gentle space where you can step away from the full feeling of everyday life, breathe deeply, relax fully, and spend some much-needed time focusing on you.

Because while you’re busy growing a baby, you deserve to be looked after too. šŸ¤

✨ Time to relax
✨ Time to connect
✨ Time to simply be

Have a little look at my dates in Hampshire for the next month and I hope to see you there šŸ«¶šŸ¼

✨ The birth you want starts with believing it’s possible. ✨

Before confidence comes action, your brain needs evidence.

Your nervous system is constantly scanning for what’s familiar and what feels safe. If all you’ve ever heard about birth are scary stories, traumatic experiences and messages telling you to ā€œexpect the worst,ā€ then of course a positive birth can feel out of reach.

Not because it isn’t possible.

But because your brain hasn’t been shown enough evidence that it is.

This is why mindset work matters so much during pregnancy.

Visualising a calm, positive birth is powerful... but visualisation alone isn’t enough.

You also need to build belief.

You need to show your brain that positive births happen every single day.

Here are 3 simple ways to start:

🌸 1. Watch positive birth stories daily

Fill your mind with stories of calm, empowered and positive birth experiences. The more examples you see, the more your brain begins to recognise this as a possibility for you too.

🌸 2. Create boundaries around negative stories

You do not need to become the dumping ground for everyone else’s birth experiences.

It’s okay to say:ā€Thank you for sharing, but I’m focusing on positive birth preparation right now.ā€

🌸 3. Change your social media algorithm

Follow positive birth accounts, hypnobirthing educators and birth affirmations.

Like, save and engage with content that leaves you feeling calm and confident.

The more positive content you consume, the more positive content you’ll be shown.

✨Remember: your nervous system can’t relax into a future it doesn’t believe exists.

Show it what’s possible. Often.
