I’m Kate, the face behind The Little Grey Box 🖤

This September marks 10 years of my little business.
From a tiny grey box in my garage to my own private studio in Ashford, Kent, something I dreamed about at school has become my everyday life.

Fine-line tattoos are at the heart of what I do. I love creating delicate, detailed designs that feel personal to you, whether it’s your very first tattoo or another addition to your collection.

I also offer semi-permanent brows and eyeliner, with a focus on soft, natural-looking results.

I’m fully insured and licensed and my studio is a relaxed, welcoming space where you can ask questions, talk through your ideas and feel comfortable. I’m always learning, training and refining my work because there’s always something new to learn.

This September marks 10 years of The Little Grey Box and sometimes I have to stop and take it all in. Something I dreamed about at school is now my everyday life.

From that tiny little grey box in my garage to a full tattoo studio, I’m so proud of what I’ve built and so grateful to everyone who has helped me get here.

Even after 10 years, the imposter syndrome still creeps in! Every booking, recommendation, kind message and familiar face coming back means more than you know.

When choosing placements i am so conscious of the longevity, the movement and the contour of the body.

These three factors create a timeless perfect fine line tattoo.

I feel so lucky to have been chosen to do this ladies first ever tattoo.

A lover of horses, the perfect tribute.

The arm placement creates such a flat surface to make sure every detail can be seen.

When choosing placements I am so conscious of the longevity of the tattoo and how it will heal and keep perfect forever.

9/10 I move placements as I love to use the contour of the body to create something that will be timeless.
