A little extra care over the next few days can make all the difference to your retention.

If you’ve recently had your lashes done, save this post for later and follow these simple tips to help keep them looking full, fluffy and lasting as long as possible. 🤍

SUMMER LASH CARE ☀️✨

How to keep your lash extensions lasting in the heat 👇

Heat, sweat, SPF, holidays & swimming can all affect retention, but your lashes CAN still last beautifully with the right aftercare

☀️ Wash your lashes DAILY
Sweat, oils, SPF and pollen build up much quicker in summer. Clean lashes = better retention.

☀️ Avoid excessive heat directly on lashes
Sunbeds, ovens, BBQ heat, saunas & steam can weaken the adhesive over time.

☀️ Be careful with SPF + face oils
Oil-based products break down lash glue faster. Keep heavy creams/oils away from the lash line where possible.

☀️ After swimming… rinse & clean
Chlorine and salt water aren’t ideal sitting on the lashes. Rinse with clean water and wash lashes afterwards.

☀️ Brush them regularly
Summer humidity can make lashes twist or cross over more easily. A quick brush keeps them fluffy & neat.

☀️ Don’t pick or pull
Your natural lashes can shed faster in warmer weather naturally.. picking only causes gaps quicker.

☀️ Book infills slightly sooner if needed
Holidays, sweating & swimming can mean you need infills every 2-2.5 weeks instead of stretching.

☀️ Sleep + hydration matter too
Dryness, rubbing eyes from hayfever, sweating overnight and dehydration can all affect retention.

Healthy clean lashes = BEST retention 🔥

END OF AN ERA 🤎

After 6 years of having our Maidstone salon, as the tenancy comes to an end, I have made the decision to close the doors

My life as taken a massive turn the last year personally, and some of you will be familiar with the story (I’m an over sharer 😉)

Now, as a single mum with a 4 year old about to start school, I need to look at my home life as well as the business

This unfortunately means taking a step away from the Maidstone premises..

I will instead, be carrying out treatments for Maidstone clients in my home set up during Zara’s school hours and evenings

OBVIOUSLY, Ashford is staying put 😏 my first baby who is doing so well and I am forever grateful for 🤎

As always, I wouldn’t be able to do any of this without my amazing team, and I’ll be extremely sad to not be working with my Maidstone team any more 💔 and of course, without you guys, the clients, none of this would be possible - so thank you 🤎🫶🏼
