Hate to be a negative Nelly but I am genuinely going to have to cut down my available days at work - I need at least a full day each week to be completing my Level 7 in Aesthetics Practice and to get on with admin. I need a day to spend time with my family and not think about work at all.

Well this was a lovely little email to open after a full day in the salon 🥰

Let's talk about bruising after lip filler! 💋

A little bruise doesn't mean something has gone wrong—it actually shows just how common lip filler bruising can be.

We filled Michealas lips with 1.1ml today, she's been left with some slight bruising to one side of the upper lip! This is SO normal and 99% of the time, nothing to worry about at all 🫶🏼

✨ The lips are packed with tiny blood vessels, so even with the best technique, a needle or cannula can occasionally nick one. Sometimes it's simply unavoidable, no matter how experienced your practitioner is.

💉 Bruising usually:
• Appears within the first 24 hours
• Peaks around days 2–3
• Gradually fades over 5–14 days (everyone heals differently!)
