YOURâE SCARED TO ADD DEPTHâŚ
I know, Iâve been there. But itâs all about your starting point and what tones are already there. Thatâs how youâll formulate the correct lowlight shade for your client that wonât take them to dark.
Do you need to add warmth or gold into your formula?
Do you actually just need a flat base shade but say a 5/6 mixed together?
Each client is going to be different. So copying lowlight formulas wonât actually work. It depends on your stating point and your end goal. đ

She canât make up her mind. So Iâm giving her options. Along with having alot of fun too đ

She is not ready to grey blend!
This client comes every 5-6 for her colour maintenance. And whilst we have discussed in detail what would be lower maintenance for her and options going forward. She just isnât ready to start that grey blending journey and that is ok!
Today we added medium blended lowlights and fine blended highlights. We toned with a gold because these colours complement her skin tone. Alone with her permanent root shade for full coverage. Yes she might ask for a certain colour. But my job is to tell her what compliments her skin tone, her eyes and her eyebrows. Itâs personalised to her.

Of course there is down sides but each hurdle will be a lesson learnt.
Itâs helped me become fully booked months in advance. Maintain a steady income from month to month. Earning from platforms I didnât know existed.
